1st Half of Spring Break

Okay so spring break is 1/2 way  over, BUT I still have too much to do and people to go visit. Here is what the kids and I have been doing over the last couple of days.

Monday: Cleaned house all morning, folded laundry, wiped down my kitchen cabinets (white, so they show everyhing!); then the Kids and I went to have a play date w/a good friend Shauna & Lauren. Shauna & I were neighborhood friends and it carried over into school. The kids and I had a great time, they got to play w/other kids and I got to talk to an adult... Thanks Shauna for a great time...looking forward to our next play date. Ya know, I think that something we need to start, a Kid's Play Date..meet once a week, let kids play, mommy's visit, maybe not a large group but someone different each week or every 2 weeks... I know my kids were looking forward to it, had a great great time.

Tuesday: Spent the day in Estelline; My granny who is bed-ridden now wanted a Sonic burger...  I had asked her on Sunday if she wanted fries, tots, or onion rings? She answered back: ALL OF THE ABOVE! (ahahha) So that is what the kids and I took her and Grand-dad. Let me tell ya, she ate all!!! She might have lost her eye sight but she hasn't lost her appetite!! Man Granny could eat... AFter we ate, the kids and I went w/Grand dad to feed the cows. What an experience for my kids to come face to face w/cows & bulls. Here are a few pics of our outdoor adventures.
Calling in the Cows!!
Throwing the feed...

The Pro... true Cowboy! (His picture is also on the side of the Stetson Cowboy Hat Box, three cowboys on top of a mountain/cliff, yep he is one of them!)
Just Chilin'  notice Granddad's St. Paty's Necklace...
WE had a great time w/Granddad feeding the cows. I can remember when I would go visit my grandparents in New Mexico we would go feed the cows. My grandparents have always lived on Ranches in New Mexico, the last ranch was known as the "The Bell Ranch".  Great times... the "hacienda" (Big house) was a place for visitors, not just any visitors but movie stars such as Patrick Swayze. There are too many big stars to list! But in the summer times we would go stay w/my grandparents for 1 or 2 weeks... we would go swimming, play tennis, basketball, but the best part is going 'arrowhead hunting'...love those times... great memories!

Wednesday, Jantz got sick, so I doped him up to attend Daddy's baseball team "long ball" competition during lunch. Had a great crowd and a great time. Perfect weather for some baseball. Proud of you babe, keep up the hard work; things will start coming around soon!! Good luck at this weekend's tournament!!! Which the kids and I will be traveling to this afternoon.  Go Bobcats!!

The Workout

Part 1: Fat-Blasting Strength Circuit

This ultra-effective routine tones every muscle in 30 minutes, with a special emphasis on your core. "When your abs and lower back are strong, you have a more stable base, so you can work your arms, chest, butt, and thighs more effectively," explains Tracey Mallett, author of Sexy in 6 and creator of our routine. Do this circuit 2 to 3 days a week.

Part 2: Cardio

Once weekly: Pick a cardio activity that really works up a sweat for a solid 45 minutes to an hour. Tired of the treadmill? The elliptical machine, swimming, and cycling are great options, too.

Twice a week pick one of the interval workouts below. These will keep your body challenged and help your muscles use oxygen more efficiently, so you work harder and blast more calories.

Option 1: Treadmill Intervals (35 minutes)

This interval routine burns more than 300 calories in 35 minutes. Use your rate of perceived exertion (RPE) to customize the workout for your fitness level, speeding up or slowing down accordingly.

*RPE, rate of perceived exertion, is a measure of your exercise intensity based on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most effort. Adjust speed and incline to reach desired RPE above.

Option 2: Do-Anywhere Intervals (30 minutes)

Do any cardio -- cycling, walking, running, using the elliptical machine, etc. Use RPE to find your pace. At RPE 5, you should be slightly breathless; at 7 or higher, speaking more than a few words becomes difficult.

GIGGLES

Took the kiddos to church... it was great, great bible study. But anywhoooo the kids were wound up from the time we got in the car to come home from church... giggling, wrestling, splashing water out of the tub, you name it they did it tonight. I know as parents we want to get onto them and make them be quiet, settle down, but My Gosh... let them be kids!! That is what we did tonight... we ate supper...slurpping noodles (spaghetti); then went into the bath tub.... throwing yellow rubber duckies everywhere; trying to shoot the ducks from the tub into the toilet!! Hilarious... I just stood there and watched... laughing with them... okay, so then we get them out of the tub, get  pull-ups on and they start spinning in the living room w/their towels and falling down, running into each other, furniture!!! Soo. by then I couldn't hear the TV, American Idol... so I go and turn on her TV, watch Shrek, I look back and they are hanging from the top bunk bed by ONE arm!!! I thank I gave birth to albino monkeys'!!!! You know when you get to giggling you just can't stop, that was them... of course they have that "Moore laugh"... gizmo laugh. While they were laughing, a memory came back to me of my sister and I laughing uncontrollable for no reason at all... just laughing!! Well, that is what they had tonight was the GIGGLES!!!  I miss those days...  love ya kids!!!

DDR FREAK!!!

ddr

Coach Inman & I had the privelage to put on the 3rd grade program this year. My first, but I had a blast!!! I am sooo proud of those kids, they did everything right, well-behaved, & had FUN!! I now want a DDR game & Dance pad for my Wii... (hint hint Botos). I doubt that will happen cause then I would get nothing done around the house.

Now back to the program... I really can't put into words how great it was or FUN to watch. If you were there, I hope you enjoyed the show/program, if NOT, you missed out... we had a full house and a HUGE "THANK YOU" to the parents & grandparents, aunts, uncles, brother, sisters, whomever!!! for coming... if anyone has pictures or a video they would like to share, please do... I would also like to add them to our P.E. blog (which I have kinda forgotten about till now). Those kiddos could dance, I am sorry about the music not being loud but there will always be kinks in programs... hey I am a first timer at this and I absolutely love Elementary P.E. This job keeps me young and as to I will never grow-up. From Sister Lori...whom can't believe that I had to have a college degree for this job!!!

Here is what DDR stands for is all about:

Gameplay

The dance stage, divided into 9 sections, 4 of them in the cardinal directions contain pressure sensors for the detection of steps.

The core gameplay involves the player moving his or her feet to a set pattern, stepping in time to the general rhythm or beat of a song. Arrows are divided by 1/4 notes, 1/8 notes, and so on (with differing color schemes for each), up to about 1/32 notes. During normal gameplay, arrows scroll upwards from the bottom of the screen and pass over stationary, transparent arrows near the top (referred to as the "guide arrows" or "receptors", officially known as the Step Zone). When the scrolling arrows overlap the stationary ones, the player must step on the corresponding arrows on the dance platform, and the player is given a judgement for their accuracy (Marvelous, Perfect, Great, Good, Boo/Almost, Miss/Boo). Longer green and yellow arrows referred to as "freeze arrows" must be held down for their entire length, either producing a "O.K." if successful, or a "N.G." (no good) if not. Dance Dance Revolution X contains songs with Shock Arrows, walls of arrows with lightning effects which must be avoided, which are scored in the same way as Freezes (O.K./N.G.). If they are stepped on, a N.G. is awarded, the lifebar decreases, and the steps become hidden for a short period of time.

Successfully hitting the arrows in time with the music fills the "Dance Gauge", or life bar, while failure to do so drains it. If the Dance Gauge is fully depleted during gameplay, the player fails the song, usually resulting in a game over. Otherwise, the player is taken to the Results Screen, which rates the player's performance with a letter grade and a numerical score, among other statistics. The player may then be given a chance to play again, depending on the settings of the particular machine (the limit is usually 3-5 songs per game). In most of the home versions, there is usually an option for event mode, where an unlimited number of songs can be played. On most DDR games, there is an option to use two pads at once, making it harder to play but increasing the number of moves to incorporate into songs.

Here are 16 waYs to kiss your love..

When you find the girl of your dreams, you need to make sure that you know how to kiss her properly.
Here are 365 ways to kiss your love.
- 1 - ICE KISS
Celebrate the first day of winter with an ice kiss. Put an ice cube in your mouth until your mouth becomes cold. Remove the cube, track down your love and plant a kiss that will send chills!

- 2 - ELECTRIC SHOCK KISS
The two of you shuffle your feet furiously on carpet. When you both have an electric charge, lean over and slowly aim for each other's lips. With your lips about one-half inch apart, move in even slower until a spark jumps between the two of you. Instantly after this happens, kiss one another...the please us the kiss right after the shock!

- 3 - CAMPING KISS
On a beautiful cool night, you and your love crawl into a sleeping bag outside. Cuddle and kiss.

- 4 - REWARD KISS
Next time your love performs some disliked home chore like cleaning the bathroom, mowing the lawn, or taking out the garbage, show your appreciation by tucking a candy kiss in a strategic location.

- 5 - POST-IT KISS
Use 3M Post-It notes to make a trail through your house that leads to your lips. Put a lipstick print or lip symbol on each note with an arrow pointing to the next note. You, of course, are at the end of the trail with a Post-It note over your lips that says, "LIFT FOR KISS"

- 6 - KISSING IN THE RAIN
The next time it rains, grab an umbrella, rain coats, and your love. Then go outside and kiss in the rain. If the spirit of the kiss moves you, remove the umbrella and kiss 'till the two of you are soaked.

- 7 - HERSHEY`S KISSES
Prepare a small bag of Hershey`s kisses and slip it into your love's purse, briefcase, or lunchbox. Attach a note that reads "SORRY, I CAN'T BE THERE IN PERSON, BUT THINK OF ME AND DO THE FOLLOWING: Close your eyes and place the candy between your lips. Drop the candy in your mouth and roll it on your tongue until it melts.

- 8 - TRACY AND HEPBURN KISS
Make flash cards, and the two of you re-enact the following kissing scene from WOMAN OF THE YEAR:

(1942): (Reclining face to face on a couch, woman on top.)
SAM: Something I've got to get off my chest.
TESS: I'm too heavy?
SAM: I love you.
TESS: Me, too.
SAM: Positive.
TESS: That's nice. Even when I'm sober?
SAM: Even when you're brilliant. (The two of you kiss.)

- 9 - KISSES IN A BALLOON
Cut out small red tissue lips, and place them inside an opaque balloon filled with helium (any party store could do this for you) Tie the balloon to your love's chair at dinner. Desert is a shower of kisses delivered by a sharp pin.

- 10 - TOLL KISS
Next time you are driving your love somewhere, stop the car before crossing a bridge or going through a tunnel, and say the toll must be paid before you can go any further. Of course, the toll cost in one kiss.

- 11 - MORSE CODE KISS
If you know Morse code, great, If not, this is a great way to learn. Find a Morse Code chart. Using long and short kisses, spell out a message to your love and have him or her try to decipher them.

- 12 - KISSING METER KISSES
We have parking meters, so why not kissing meters? Turn a box into your own kissing meter and wear it around your neck. Give your love kissing tokens to start your kissing meter. Have an "expired" sign appear when you need another kiss.

- 13 - AUDIO STIMULATION
Make a cassette of kissing noises and place in your love's cassette player (walkman, car or home) with a note attached.

- 14 - BREAKFAST IN BED KISS
Slip out of bed early and prepare a special "Kissing" breakfast to serve to your love in bed. Pick foods that you can easily pick up and feed to your love. Kiss between bites!

- 15 - STAIRWELL KISS
This kiss is to be done at a party or at a gathering with your love. Steal away to a private location like behind a door or tree, or on the stairwell and passionately kiss each other. The risk of being discovered in the act is the key element.

- 16 - SCUBA KISSING
Wearing a diving mask and fins, simulate swimming underwater. Snorkel across the room to your love and kiss him or her.

Found this and thought this was cute... spice up your kissing!!! love u babe... smoochi boochie....
