June 6th

Today, not much happened. Slept in, didn't get up to eat breakfast.  I was awaken from a phone call from Botos and the Kids screaming into the phone, "WAKE UP MOMMY! WAKE UP!" it was the sweetest voices ringing thru the phone. All I could do was smile and giggle. I got up and headed to TOYS 'R US... the kids had told me that they wanted a surprise but yet tell me exactly what their surprises were to be.  Cora wants Make-up (she says she won't eat it this time?) and Jantz wants motorcycles or monster jams. (trucks).

So I am in the store walking around wondering if I should actually get what they asked for or get them something else. Botos and I were talking the other day about getting them a wooden guitar.. they have been watching CMT and like to play and sing. Sooo I found a couple of those but WOW expensive. So I called Botos and the bottom line is he said to get what they want.. Ok. I did. found it all on the clearance aisle.

Had a relaxing day after that... had lunch at the Hula Hut... OMG... awesome food and fun atmosphere.  If you are ever in Austin, where they keep it weird, u must go and eat at the Hula Hut.

Then of course we headed back to the mall. I finally got my metal/ink thing majingy off... and walked around the mall for the next 2 hours trying on about oh... 10 swimsuits! So depressing, watch out F3 here I come!!! lol.

Well I have packed, showered, talked to my kiddos TWICE, and ready to go to bed so that we can get on the road to head HOME!!!

Until next time... Mamabotos.

June 5th

What a day! Had a wonderful breakfast here at the hotel. Then we headed to the track to watch the ladies run. What a nervous wreck Coach K was.. so funny. But the girls made it to state, what an honor to be running at the State Track Meet in Austin in front of thousands of people!!! I told the girls I was jealous. The ran a great race and ended up getting 6th. Finished 6th in the top of Texas is not bad at all!!!!  Vicki ran a great race in the 200m, what a close race. Very proud of the Lady Cats, job well done.

Sitting up in the stands, watching all these great athletes warm-up & run, makes me wonder if one of my kids will ever have that opportunity to run at the State Meet? I think some parents take that for granted of their kids running at State, some parents live their dreams through their kids, which is sad. As for me, I don't care if my kids do not participate in Athletics.. haha. But I don't think I am going to have a choice.. lol. I mean they already compete to the front door, who can get out of the car first, take a bath the quickest, eat their food the fastest, race to bed, going to sleep first... every where I turn they are competing.

I miss my kids. I talked to them today twice on the phone and u know, I can barely tell them apart on the phone! Until Cora says I want Make-up Momma for my surprise and Jantz wants me to come home now... Cora also let me know that I only took her to 1 track meet this year, oops,, good memory. She loves to go go go!  Jantz on the other hand wants a  Monster Jam truck...  I am so ready to get home and get great big  hugs from them... their little arms squeeze your head off. ohhh i love it!

Good night Cora, Jantz & Botos. I miss you too! I know the kiddos are probably driving you insane but your a great dad & hubby. I know that my kids are in great hands. I love you sbdwb!

Until next time... Mamabotos

June 4th

Well, we left for the State track meet today. Girls run on Friday at 6 and Donte jumps at 3. So exciting to have kids at the State Meet, for themselves & representing Childress.  We made it in, had track practice, & headed to the mall. Great kids to take in public. They are fun as well.

All week I have been doing Lady Cats basketball camp. I had the young girls, 3rd-5th. So much fun, I love watching the younger girls get better and surprise themselves when they say "I can't" and then they end up doing it! Little faith and determination goes a long way. I love working camps and I have been fortunate to work some BIG camps in my days. In college, we had to stay the month of June, work 4 weeks of camp in a row w/about 100 kids each week. So many girls I have met and now that they are older & coaching now its crazy. Cause you know they don't care if you played or how many points you had. They remember the camps, the one on one relationship and fun times at camp. Then I was fortunate to work Baylor Lady Bears Camp for 3 years, also when they won the National Championship!!! Awesome!!!

Things happening at the Botos house is that we have been planting flower beds, planting grass, & basically finishing up things around the house that was damaged from last summer's storm. I just pray that we don't have another storm like that.

While planting our new flower bed, the kids were able to dig for worms, which Jantz has named wiggilies... haha. So darn cute. I have enjoyed my first week of summer w/the kiddos and my husband. I am looking forward to going camping and working a firework stand this summer. The Botos' will be at Hwy 83/FM 164 (prison road). Grand Opening on the 24th of June!! So come on out and buy some fireworks!!!

Psh... it Happens!

I got to thinking about the reason for this blog. It was for me to record daily events in my life. Cause after having kids, as a mom our brains don't work as well on how well we remember things. So instead of just special events or things we go and do I am going to do my very best to write daily whether it be a long or short story. I would like to thank those that do read my blog and you get a smile or a laugh out of it. I hear a comments from some very special people and you brighten my day when you mention that you read my blog. Thank You to all my Friends!

Here is the latest... hope u r Ready? Cause its Crappy...
I attended the CISD golf tournament yesterday and loved it! It was nice to get back out on the golf course and swing the club. Had a wonderful group and it was nice to relax and laugh. BUT I had to leave and attend Cora's pre-school Graduation from Tiny Texan Pre-school, Mrs. Carrol's. It was so sweet & short. Cora thinks she is coming to the BIG school next year, we shall see how well that goes over come September.

After the graduation, my kids went w/my parents to watch Aaron play t-ball. Well, I don't know how much watching the kids were doing, of course all they do is play. BUT... I get a phone call from my mom telling me Jantz pooped. I am thinking okay he pooped, he does do that daily, good for him. I get there and Mom said, "No he pooped on the grass over where they are playing!" OMG!!! What, r u kidding me? So then I hear people telling me, Casey your son! or thanks for the show or We saw your son's hiney. So I am shaking my head and I go over to get my kids and I look up and there goes Jantz running it in!!! CRAP... literally... who does that, my kid does apparently. Of course all the kids are laughing and Jantz thinks it is so funny running back and forth in it.... Holy Crap! So I pull him up and dragging him to the nearest water faucet, well none of the water faucet's aren't on, NO WATER! So the only solution is to take his stinky butt home and throw him in the tub. So we get in the car, all the windows rolled down, sunroof open. We make it home and he goes straight to the tub... this is gross folks. Its making me gag just writing about it... yuk!

Sooo.... we get him all cleaned up. I told him kids don't poop outside, he says, "momma I am a big kid, I can." hahaha And of course it wasn't just a little poop it was a massive pile (never heard of a boy/man taking a small poop, I think we all know its a good 20 minute ordeal).... I can just see all the other kids bending over and looking his butt going, oohhh what is that? OMG...

Everyone have a great day and stay away from the flies at the t-ball field! ; ).

Until next time...Mamabotos.

Quartz Mt Camping Trip #2

It has been over a week and half since we visited Quartz Mountain for our 2nd camping trip.We spent 3 days & 2 nights, took along my nephew Aaron w/us who was experiencing his first camping trip.

We arrived Friday afternoon, found our perfect spot, Live Oak #54.  We had a great view toward the playground where the kids could go and play. After we set up camp, we decided to drive around the campground. Of course we found the good ol' water slides that have been there FOREVER! So of course, I didn't bring any swimsuits for anyone...but we still went or Botos & the kids did.

Not tall enough yet!!! Darn it.
Aaron driving the bumper car, by himself. He did some damage to the other little boy, poor other boy. AND the other little boy gave Aaron a ticket to ride, I bet he was wishing he hadn't done that... hahah.

After water slides & bumper cars we decided to go play putt-putt. Of course Botos wanted to compete and I simply said Ok. Now if didn't know, but the last time he & I played golf was our first year of dating. He had asked me to go along w/him and some baseball buddies. Bottom line: I won, beat him = First Fight!!! So... we r playing a long and of course it comes down to the 18th hole, hole-n-one shot... I MADE IT!!! BAM... won a free game and beat Botos by 2 strokes. No fight though.

Then it was off to the paddle boats. Didn't last long, went down the river long enough to find a couple of fishing spots to take the kids. And we paddled back, lasted about 10 minutes.

Saturday morning started off w/it raining till 2. So in the mean time, Botos taught the kids "Slap Jack", hands were flying every where, I was rolling... laughing so hard.

So then we decided to go visit the "Nature Center." Very cool place, had lots of things for the kids to do. One thing in particular was a puzzle center. At this puzzle center were pictures of animals on half of the puzzle piece and on the other was the animals poop. Yes poop. It was to help them know when they saw poop on a trail or in a campground they were able to tell what animal it was.  lol. After the rain it was off to hiking... I will let the pictures tell the story.

Yes I DID!!

I treated myself yesterday evening to a 3-hr day at the salon (I really hate staying there that long but man it was nice.) I think the last time I had nails was when I got married, which will be 6 years in June! I know it has been that long!!! I really just needed a pedicure, after being in the boot, (not longer in). It was like I went from station to station doing basketball camp but only I was getting pampered... pedicure... hands... & final stop my mother's chair... waxing!!! of the eyebrows... no NO Brazilian wax!

I got home and Cora was so jealous got she didn't get hers done... so maybe while we are camping this weekend I will do hers for her... she is all girl. It was such a nice evening that my family were sitting outside waiting on me

I go inside to start supper, Hamburger Helper, is my best friend!!! Then the door bell rang. I am thinking, Who rings our doorbell? Everyone I know just comes on in. Well, it was a woman representing the Kirby vacuum. Yeah yeah, you are all saying NO U DIDN'T CASEY! I did, but listen to how I did it!. I was cooking supper and told the lady that I wasn't going to watch the demonstration. She said that is fine, they were going to just vacuum the living room, which needed it really really bad. Why not, right? and I got a new vacuum belt for my old hand-me down Kirby vacuum... sweat deal... new belt & I got my floor vacuumed. Even though we are pulling up the carpet in a few weeks to do hard wood floors!!!! That poor guy said he wouldn't even have done it if he knew that!!!!! lol

Soooo Botos & I are just carrying on in the kitchen, cooking this wonderful meal. While some guy is in the living room, vacuuming away, answer questions from the kids. Botos & I were laughing so hard in the kitchen. I know that is wrong but I bet they don't come back... Kirby folks probably got irritated by the kids just like we get irritated w/them!!! Had a great day yesterday!

Also, we r going camping to Quartz Mountain this weekend! Look for pics coming soon & stories... No telling what all will take place!

Until next time... Mamabotos

Cora Lee Cora Lee

Weird day... not really just felt like saying that. Well, we attended Cora's gymnastics recital/program. Very cute... she, however, did not want to wear the bandana or the cowboy hat... she threw a fit, cried, cried UNTIL I took her outside and had a very close heart to heart talk. I did swat her leg and then afterwards I thought, dang it... now there is going to be a red hand print!! Don't call CPS on me... lets just say she finished the program. Of course acting like nothing happened... AND we recorded her crying cause I was not about to get her off the mat, I was just letting her cry (hard) finally my dad & Botos said go get her... ; ) She did receive a silver medal for attending gymnastics for 2 yrs!!! she has come along way. Very Proud of her... I love gymnastics myself but I got too tall.

Afterwards, Pappy & I took all 4 kids to DQ for ice cream. Its so funny to watch little ones to eat an ice cream cone... precious moments. I guess they are just like any other cousins. They want to see each other but once they get around each other they fight, scream, & scream, tattle ... well u all know.

We made it home and the kids wanted to ride bikes. So decided to fix up Jantz's bike. U see when we went camping, we took his bike. He hates his bike!!! b/c his wiggles, wobbles, and he does fall down. So we took Cora's training wheels off of her bike and put them on Jantz's bike. Well he still didn't like it.... can't please a man even when is 2!

Cora however wanted to learn to ride her little bike w/out training wheels. So we all gather in the front yard. She hops on her little bike and Botos starts to push her... well as soon as she takes off she turns her head to see if Botos still has his hand on, of course he doesn't. So she immediately slams on the brakes & the bike leans to the side... she falls. But her all of her falls have been graceful falls. However she did finally catch on but she still turned her head & everytime she did she would fall & & she didn't want to learn on the grass... only on the sidewalk... thank goodness for no major accidents. We ended the night by watching the storm, American Idol. We did manage to go to bed early, but while we were in bed we were watching GREASE 2. Its so corny... but I like it. Botos doesn't care for Musicals.

Until next time... Mamabotos
