Wives Rule

WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.

Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.

Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.

Her boyfriend is on the cover of GQ.

And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

Keep reading-they get better!!!

WOMAN'S REVENGE

'Cash, check or charge?' I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.

As she fumbled for her wallet , I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.

'So, do you always carry your TV remote?' I asked.

'No,' she replied, 'but my husband refused to come shopping with me,

and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally.'

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN

(A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE)

I know I'm not going to understand women.

I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax,

pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root,

and still be afraid of a spider.

MARRIAGE SEMINAR

While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication,

Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor,

'It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and dislikes.'

He addressed the man,

'Can you name your wife's favorite flower?'

Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, 'It's Pillsbury, isn't it?

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.

An earlier discussion had led to an argument and

neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,

the husband asked sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'

'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

WORDS

A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day...

30,000 to a man's 15,000.

The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men.....

The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'

CREATION

A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be

so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.

'The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain..

God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;

God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you !

WHO DOES WHAT

A man and his wife were having an argument about who

should brew the coffee each morning.

The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first,

and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee.

The husband said, 'You are in charge of cooking around here and

you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.'

Wife replies, 'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee.'

Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.'

So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home

and were giving each other the silent treatment.

Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him

at 5:0 0 AM for an early morning business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
'Please wake me at 5:00 AM.' He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him,
when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.

The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.'

Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

WELL... I found someone on Craig's List that was selling four tickets right next to the stage. So I thought what the heck I will email them and see if its for real or not. To my surprise this morning I was checking my email and had a reply regarding the tickets... to my amazement it was 4 real!!! SEC 10 Row B seats 10-13...

Wow, had a great weekend. Got up yesterday, we all made it to Church. Kids are starting to behave a little better. Had a great lunch and then we said bye to Daddy as he went to work. Shortly after Daddy left the kids and I took a nap. We all woke up in a good moods. I started cleaning the house, move some house lamps around from the kitchen/bedroom to the living room. The kids got Popsicles and took them over to Aaron & Kennedy. Oh... the joy of all 4 kids when they get together. Shortly after they left, i got a call from mom saying they made it. Yes, they walked over to my parents house. They have route to take.... go by Mrs. Angie's school, pass Nanna's house, thru Cindy's house/garage/backyar and then they are at Mammy & Pappy's!!!

While they were gone I was able to really clean the house.

Now I am spending my Monday morning watching the "Spongebob Squarepants Movie." I'm sure its just the 50th time we have seen it. Now Patrick & Spongebob just did and came back to life.... cartoons these days.... what happened to the Looney Tunes? Smurfs? The good ol' fashion cartoons.

Kids are learning to play "Go Fish," & Cora is teaching me how to shuffle the cards! Pretty good at too, she is! lol. They are so competitive its not even funny. Its amazing how much they are growing. Cora was lying next to me and she is sooo long.... its bout time for her to sleep in her own bed! I am up for any ideas how to get them into their own beds!!!

off to a busy day to spend w/the kids!

Until next time.... Mamabotos!

Hello folks! The Botos clan has been super duper busy lately. We have started school and there is something going on everynight & everyday this week. Let me spell it out for u!

Monday: JH Volleyball games
Tuesday: jv/v volleybal games; football practice till 6:30
Wednesday: carnival
Thursday: football games; girls parent meeting; kids pre-school teacher meeting.
Friday: football game away
Saturday: Vball away all day.

Sooooo looking forward to Monday. 1st school holiday!!! I am sleeping in... may not even get out of bed... j/k botos! really I'm not...

I personally have been struggling lately w/a lot of things. Why? I don't know. What? literally everything. I guess I am questioning myself and my ability. Who knows! But my wonderful husband said it right, "quit listening to others and go w/your gut!" I love U babe!

Thursday night was eventful night: Botos won his first game in football, w/a great come back, down in the 3rd 22-0 and ended up winning 23-22!
Plus Cora got stung on the booty by a wasp! she cried for just a little bit but soon forgot about it when she was playing football w/the stephens kiddos.

Everyone have a great day!

Until next time... Mamabotos

First time but won't be the last.

Today was a great day. Woke up went to church, heard a great lesson by Trey. After church we went to at Dawson's before Botos had to go to work. So the kids & I came home and started watching "The Land Before Time" a.k.a. the dinosaur movie. Jantz is in love w/the dinosaur movie...Little Foot, Sarah, Chopper & the gang. Then of course we took a nap, love naps... snuggling w/the kids.

After the nap, we went to pick up Aaron & Kennedy to go to the park to play. Beautiful day to play in the park, nice cool breeze. Lori & I was able to sit on the swing and sit & visit. So then I bring all the kids back to my house to play. Of course they go straight to the trampoline. In the last wind storm, it torn off our net off the trampoline. And of course we have a kid (Aaron) that flips off the trampoline... BAM! Of course I am watching the whole thing, as soon as he stands up his eyes were so big and he starts rubbing the back of his head, in shock.... a few tears fall but he gets right back on the trampoline and starts to play again. So I am sure it won't be the last time a kid falls off it.

Today we had another first time but won't be the last. As I am about to take Kennedy & Aaron home, I come back and sit down at the table to eat. I look at Cora and notice something different. I am thinking her hair is just pulled back w/gel or tangled up. I don't know. So I ask her, Cora did you cut your hair? The look on her face gave it away, face looked down and her hand went to cover it up. I was in shock, she starts pre-school tomorrow! Great... her bangs were just long enough to start pulling back and now some of her bangs are spiking out in front.... I know everyone has had a kid do this and I'm sure it won't be the last time. Her response was "Its just hair Mom, it will grow back!" and of course Jantz had to add his two cents, "yeah mom, its just hair, duh?" What'.... where did this "duh" stuff come from. hahaha.

Another busy week a head of us. Goodnight folks....

Until next time.... mamabotos

Friday, August 28, 2009

The first week of school is behind us now, had a good week, no complaints. It is kind of nice to be back on a routine, but I have a feeling next week will be tougher. Cora has school at 8 two days and Jantz starts his school at 8 on the other two days.... what a joy to get two kids up and dressed.... so what this all means is an earlier bed time!!!

Last night the Bobcats had a their first football game of the season. So Dad & I traveled w/four kids (whom everyone knows). I have to admit, I said I would never do that again due to our previous trip, BUT you never say never right? Well, we started our journey and they were all buckled in, in their own area. All had a pillow, a toy. Of course my two hadn't had a nap (planned it that way....) so I knew they were tired, well by Hedley they were OUT.... by then Dad & I could talk or he could talk and I listen. Love listening to my dad talk and tell stories.

We made it to the game, of course we sat on the front row and the concession stand was at least half a mile up! lol. Someone special was also coming to the game and that was my brother Josh & Luke, it was so much fun! And have to say all the kids were pretty good, I don't believe making kids and be still at a football game.... besides they have to be still in a car for 2 hours, at school all day.... they need to release energy!! I noticed the girls (Cora & kennedy) were entertained by the cheerleaders and Jantz was sitting wherever Aaron was sitting. Aaron is getting to the age where he is asking questions about the game, why did they do that? Why are they throwing those yellow things? What's the score? We are ahead right?

Everytime we play close to the city of Amarillo, we always get to see ex-Bobcat Players who now reside in Amarillo and bring their little ones to watch the Bobcats play. Heard many comments about the small number of guys standing on the sideline or how these kids now-a-days don't know how to compete or win? I was sitting there thinking.... ummmm that is crazy how people can see that just from one game. Couple of comments were even made that when they stopped letting kids play in the end zone of the home football games!!! U know when kids can play pick up games like that and learn to win or COMPETE is awesome, but as adults we tend to take those little things like that away from them. U always here, "Well We used to do this or do that?" Well, where did it stop? Who stopped it? and Why? But one things I would like to say is if you don't keep score these kids will never know how to handle a loss or celebrate a victory. Its not about 'everyone is a winner' NO, not everyone is a winner & NOT everyone is an athlete so don't push a kid that isn't or better yet don't live your dream through your kid(s).

Okay better get of my high horse about that subject. Looking forward to a great weekend. busy saturday of Vollebyall.

Until next time... Mamabotos

1st Day of School

WOW, what a great day it turned out to be. I honestly felt like I have never left school all summer. But man, when I walked into the school building this morning, seeing all the kids in their new clothes, bright smiles, lots of hugs... it turned out to be a great day! But what is crazy is to see how much all the kids have grown over the summer.... boys gotten taller, girls start maturing...... (hahaha) its just crazy. All the faces I remembered but the NAMES just couldn't come too today....

Boy do my feet hurt! You know in a classroom, you get to sit, but in a gym... forget about it.... then go and coach for after school practice.... man, feet were throbbing today. Even though next week Cora will start Sonshine School & Texan Pre-school (a busy little girl) & Jantz starts Sonshine school.... I will be sad, even though its for half a day, this time next year I will be in tears.... yes even though I will be in the same building its still hard.

Got home, cooked supper, then the Kids and I went for a bike ride around the neighborhood after seeing Randy Allen & his boy out and about. Then it wasn't much longer we ran into Jared & Nicole Dill, then we all traveled down the road and found Russell Graves & his kids. So if you live the SE (SouthEast) it was bike riding night. Maybe we should start a Bike Riding Club, "Get your Rear in Gear!" What a great time to spend w/your kids plus exercise at the same time. Something to think about.

Okay folks goodnight.

Until Next time....Mamabotos
