I spent the first day of this year out w/Botos in a deer blind. Woke up at 7, in the blind by 7:20-10:30. Came to town to eat lunch, hoping the that the deer were bedding. The kids love their Mammy & Pappy. I am so thankful for having them around. Here lately the kids (Aaron & Kennedy, plus my two) have enjoyed each others company. Four is a great number kids... there were four of us and we always had a blast & someone to play with. So... should I have two more kids???? ummmm.... we shall see what the new year brings!!!
So... Botos & I headed back to the blind. This time I took my ipod & my phone to play Solitare... man times flies.... looking up every few 30 secs... before I knew it it was 4:45 and the feeder was about to go off. Still no sight of a deer, coyote, nothing. then we see 3 does... about ummm, lets just say too too far for me to shoot... at least Botos' thought so... Me, I was READY! Lol No luck. Getting ready for next season.
Now let me tell ya ladies... I wasn't big into hunting until recently. Botos kept asking me if I wanted to go and of course I didn't. But whle being the hospital, I had time to think... lots of time. So, after getting welll, he asked and I said YES. He was fired up... the look on his face was priceless. He is a great teacher (no wonder all the kids like him). I learned more about deer in the 20 min drive to Estelline than I have my entire life!! but then I had to learn patience, how to be quiet, & to whisper, plus how to be STILL!! You can't even fart... cause one-it might make a sound or not, but 2-the smell is gonna make you gag or make you move to cover your nose!!! lol.
I have had a wonderful time hanging out w/my husband and enjoying what he likes to do. I always that I need to a girlfriend that I go and hang out with... forget that!!! All I need is Botos. We have had some great times together here lately which we both needed before his season gets busy. BUT here is a plus to all this... our kids enjoy it too. They Both have been w/Botos & shot their deers... me... no luck. I have the kids support which is awesome... Jantz has even giving me his play gun to go and shoot that buck with... hahaha.
When we got back into town, we headed over to my parents where our New Year's meal was ready: Cabbage (& fried---delicious); bacon; black-eyed peas; ham; corn bread & Bread Pudding!! MYmom made it for the first time last night and it was delicious!!! Way to go Mom. I love my parents and so very thankful to have such great parents.
WE are heading back to their house today to spend a late Christmas w/the Moore side. Also, something is up my Aunt's sleeve's??? I don't know what it is but it will be the first time we have all been together since the passing of Granny. (snif snif) All I know is they have something from Granny to give to all grand-daughters & great-grand-daughters.
Plus I have a surprise myself for my aunts!!! That they must play the Wii---JUST DANCE!!!- so look forward to new videos.... hahaha.
Until next time... Mamabotos

Just Dance!!
OMGoodness, I have never had so much fun in all my life. Last night we were all playing the Wii w/our new game, JUst DaNCe. We even kids from the age of 3 & up!!! This is the coolest game ever and it makes you sweat...move muscles you haven't moved in a very long time... plus have fun!!! Check out the video...
Yes even Connie is up & dancing!!! We had such a good time, watching us, watching the kids, & watching those watching. I wish we could have Family night once a month for no reason at all... just because. I think we might be taking this game on camping trips.... can you see it now!!! I can.
Until next time... Mamabotos
