Wii

I don't know how many of you have a Wii. Well, it all started over the Thanksgiving break, we took ours over to my parents to by time while the meal was being prepared. IF you know me I was not in the kitchen... but since then my parents & my brother both have purchased the Wii!!! But the one game that we are practicing is Bowling... but we have also purchased two new games. The two new games are: Winter Olympics & Mario Olympics Track & Field. Lori came over taught us the swimming..OMG!!! i was breathing hard and my arms are so stinkin sore!!! You actually do all the swims...butterfly, breaststroke, crawl (sounds silly but its literally the crawl for my person) Gotta come check it out...

So, if you get bored over the holidays and tired of your family, come on over and play the Wii with We the Botos' or to my Parents....our doors all always open!

Have a good day...Until next time...Mamabotos

The Weekender

Well, won one and lost two games at our tournament this weekend. Pretty disappointed. The lack of effort and attitudes, sat one girl out for two quarters to finally let her play. She did well in the fourth quarter.

Also had my little girl Cora Lee ride the bus to all the three games, three days n a row. She was really good and loved sitting with the girls and listening to stories and watching movies. The best thing for me was I was squatting down on the sideline and yelled "blockout!" and heard this sweet innocent voice repeating what I just said. I looked and there was Cora Lee right beside me squatting down just like me. One hand under her chin and one on her knee...I just smiled real big! She smiled back with a giggle. Great day!

Spent the rest of the weekend with family. My dad is an awesome cook..he cooked supper for us on Sat. & Sunday. Delicious....tacos, enchiladas one night and roast, potatoes, carrots, w/beans & cornbread on Sunday!

Things I am looking forward to this week, the early releases but on Wednesday our family along w/my parents, aaron & kennedy, BB, Vicki, Josh & Christina & Baby Luke will all be experiencing the Polar Express train ride in Lubbock. It will be cold but well worth the trip. All the kids at school this week will be having x-mas parties...remember the good ol' days.

Have a great day! Until next time...Mamabotos.

Things U See while driving...

I have had the luxury of driving a bus pretty much every day this week. But I tell ya, I see the darnedest things...most of the things I see deal w/animals. I always tend catching them peeing or pooping or getting it on w/one another. BUT yesterday leaving Quitaque, I looked to my left and noticed a large animal then to my surprise there was two large wild hogs humping!!! In someone's drive way...I started laughing and of course the girls were wondering what I was laughing at and some of them saw it too!!! Other things I tend to see are cows running away from each other, donkey bucking wild OR... seeing a grown man trying to ride that wild donkey!!! He fell right off onto the other side...

This week the girls basketball teams were defeated by Seymour...played ok but the same silly mistakes. Wednesday I drove the Elementary kids to UIL at Muleshoe. (dairy farms everywhere). Speaking of those kids...Childress Elementary kicked some major butt!!! We R Wild About UIL!!! I was very impressed with our kids, their effort, the way they behaved, & competed. These kids were out to WIN... I am sure if you knew I was driving the bus or one of them you may not have let your kids go, by the way I had only two sick ones on the way up there.

Yesterday, I drove the JV girls BB to Tulia, opened up against Nazareth!!! Got our butts handed to us on a silver platter...but I took my little girl Cora with us. She was so excited to ride the bus...she crashed in the middle of the aisle right before Turkey and slept all the way. Its so nice to have her around on road trips...the girls really help out with her and enjoy her company...she keeps us young. I don't get to see my kids very much during this season...being a coaches kid is tough...it seems like lately I leave when they are asleep and come home and they are asleep... I did surprise them the other night after my trip to Muleshoe. Since I drove the Bobcat Bus and I was in the neighborhood, I drove by my house and honked the horn!!! Their faces were priceless..."mommy is here with the big bobcat bus!!" So they rode with me to put the bus up...it was the highlight of my day and I'm sure theirs. I love my kids!

I have to give my husband kuddos for being Mr. Mom here lately and its cutting into his hunting time. I appreciate your help babe and you will get a deer this season!!! I love U!

Until next time....Mamabotos

MY GRANNY

I would like to tell you all about a pretty special person in my life. That person is my Granny ( my dad's mom), Evelene Moore. A year ago to the date she was diagnosed with cancer. She went through all her treatments, chemo & radiation. Sadly though it has taken a tole on her health. In the last couple of weeks she has gone completely blind. First was her left eye and now her both. I was able to go visit her last night one on one. It was the best time I have had with my granny in a long time w/out all of the family being in the room bugging her with questions and being nosey. My sister and I were the only ones there with my grandad & uncle Kenny.

Two weeks ago today she was rushed to the hospital in Amarillo. That is when they ran a CAT scan and noticed her brain was covered with cancer. At that point the doctors just sent her home after speaking with her that there was nothing more they could do.

Right before we left I lost it, crying while I gave her hug. She squeezed me so tight and said," It will be okay." I hate that she is having to go through this and this being the dying process. Knowing she is going to die. She has accepted it and talks about her funeral, things she wants done. One special thing she mentioned last night was she would like all the great grandchildren to sing "Jesus Loves Me " then "Jesus Loves You" facing her casket then "Jesus Loves Us" . I lost it again...how sweet would that be. I am not looking forward to the day she leaves this world but then again she will not be suffering anymore. You know that is the crazy thing, they are bringing the hospital bed today for her and she said last night that "everyone is acting too soon with this hospital bed." She likes her couch just fine. She acts just fine, talks to you fine, but it bothered me that she was unable to see me while I was talking, she would turn to me but you could just see she was trying to find me. I then went and sat by my grandad and you know he is doing okay I guess, he was just staring at her. How sad, not to be able to see your partner for life anymore...but she has a great memory and I am sure that is what she is thinking of when she speaks to him or anyone.

I am thankful she is close and every chance I get I will be going to visit her. I will be taking my little ones tomorrow. Please keep My Granny and family in your prayers.

I love you Granny!

Until next time....Mamabotos.

Turkey-Wii Break

Had a great break! Just what I needed. Got caught up on my laundry and a clean house, on occasion. I am sitting here watching 1st graders practice their Christmas Program and losing train of thought. These kids are silly!

You might have noticed my title-Wii!! We took our Wii over to my parents so we could have something to do while everyone arrives and the food is getting ready. Someone in our family is pretty impressive...Aaron!! He beat us all in bowling...bowling a 190! Every time it was a strike or a spare...little fart is good. AND another good thing...he was quiet and out of the way...Santa must get him one. But playing the Wii was a great time to sit around and talk smack to each other and compete. It got everyone to play, even my parents! My brother Josh was playing Aaron and got mad and quit by handing the controller over to my cousin Matthew who was about to get just as mad due to Aaron beating them both...hahhahahaha.

Over the break I was able to enjoy my kids. I tell you they are getting so big. I found a really cool website for little kids to play, learning their ABC's, learn to Read, etc. I believe the school uses for pre0k & kinder. The name of the website is starfall.com Cora already knows how to click on all the letters , which helps them pronounce their letters speak correctly, everything...Just a really neat website...plus Cora will sit at the kitchen table for an hour playing gaems while learning. Jantz, well he wants to play to but he just wants to run his CARz over the keyboard...he is all boy.

DISCIPLINE... I found a cure...at Wal-mart they had these stockings that read "Dear Santa I have benn..." and below it reads the following.. NICE, NICE ON OCCASSION, NAUGHTY, VERY NAUGHTY, LUMMP OF COAL NAUGHTY... at the end of each saying is a pouch where u place a candy cane. Cora hates it when I tell her to go move her candy cane...but it works wonders...the best $12 dollars (for two) i have spend in a long time.

Have a great day! Until next time...Mamabotos

Terrific Tuesday

Well...how are things going for everyone? For me, good. We have started Basketball and we lost to a very good team last Saturday, wellington rockets. Our girls looked good at moments but by the next time we play them after Christmas it will be a better game. I appreciate everyone that was able to come and watch. All though I attended or worked the junior High boys games last night and both 'A' teams won by two to three points. However I did notice something different from the varsity games.....the FANS!!! Is it something that when we come to the high school that we are too cool to stand up and cheer or even be excited when are team scores a point? Its almost like we need to have a "How to be a Fan" lesson to all parents/grandparents & Students!!! We can have parents go sit at a football game, freezing their booty off and still have the energy to cheer but when it comes to a basketball/volleyball game where its inside, comfortable seats we can't do anything but sit and gripe. Oh...how we can hear the gripes. I almost liked the old gym for the fact that the bleachers were close to the stands that even if they were talking it made the gym seem loud, I don't know...just needed to vent. Thanks for listening...: )

Kiddos are being kids...Cora is all into make-up...of course had to have on her lipstick on before she went to school this morning...Jantz was sitting on the couch drinking chocolate milk watching monster trucks...

One thing I would like to say today is I would like to brag on the Junior High 7th grade 'B' team. There are two young men that play with disabilities. I was amazed on how they ran up and down the court, probably hurting really bad cause they were hurting me watching them run but they never quit or showed an ounce of weakness. Some of us just don't know how good we have it. Another awesome thing was that the other teammates on the team were doing everything in their power to help them score and when they did score...you just saw a smile so big on their little faces...all that hustling and running w/pain was paid off when they score that basket...it was an awesome night for those boys. I do have to give credit to the teammate for taking inconsideration of those two young men. That is teamwork! The team did win, big...defeated Dimmitt. If you get a chance to come and support our junior high teams, all their games will be played at the high school on Mondays. They will alternate with the girls. Go Kittens!!!

Everyone have a good day! I am getting ready to teach these kids how to play "Capture the Football". Until next time...Mamabotos!

Weekender...

Well, had a good weekend. Didn't sleep in much on Sat. morning...kids were up by 7:30...so mom called and was going garage selling & had donuts...so we went to an estate sell..mom bought clothes for my granny...i sat outside w/all the kids....Lori and I did.

Made it back home...started cleaning...pretty much did that all afternoon...got the kids down for a nap and then I went to work a volleyball play-off game between West Texas and Bryson...Bryson won...pretty good little team...

Sunday...attended church, worked the nursery during the sermon...had lots of kids in the playroom. Went home and ate and then went back up to church for a financial sermon...pretty good...interesting points, opened my eyes a little bit. Now when I want something, I save for it. 9 out of 10 times i will forget about it and no l onger think i need it...but for larger items...I will save. I really would like to get a patio furniture set...so that means i need to save $ and pay in cash. Quit using my credit card or debit card so much. Start paying for things in Cash...so I might just with draw so much $$ a month and pay for things that way...leave the rest alone. I am grateful for Botos...he knows all the ins & outs of the financial business. I will try to do better babe.

Last night we were watching a new movie "Kung Fu Panda". cute movie...it was so funny. Very entertaining for the kids. There was this one part where the "master" turtle was trying to blow out all of these candles...well Jantz/Ryker that he would help out...so he goes up to the TV and attempts to blow the candles out...he blew once and turned and looked at us...I giggled...but then when he went to do it again...the other character/mouse looking thing...actually blows the candles out for the turtle and Jantz/Ryker blows at the same time and all the candles went OUT!! Jantzer really thought he blew them out...I laughed so hard...like I am now picturing it again...hahaha. He turned around in such shock...yelling I DID IT...I DID IT...running to us wanting a HIGH FIVE!! He was the cutest thing...Cora was in shock too....sister look, like OMG... Awesome moment.

Today is also my mother-n-law's birthday...whom I had seen this morning and said nothing to her...so yes Botos & both forgot!!! But the day is not over....

Until next time...Mamabotos

Deer Stand Date10/25/08

Well, Botos and I celebrated 12 years together, 7 dating & 5 years of marriage...Oct. 25th was our first date (10/25/96). I remember we went to watch the movie "Psycho" in a old theater in downtown Plainview, TX. The athletes of Wayland, "Team Wayland"...renovated the theater all week long...pulled carpet, painted walls, seats...you name we all did (volleyball, basketball, baseball, track teams). We also had our first kiss that night... a smooch in the back seat of our good friend Scotty C... who he will become a Daddy soon...long-time college friend. Enjoy the pictures of us. Looking forward to the next twelve years plus many many more...I LOVE U BABE...SDWB!!!

Good Day!

I have so much to write about today so its going to be bits & pieces put together...

Kids winking...have you ever witnessed a little kid learning to wink...its the most precious thing....my little man Jantz was trying to wink at me sitting in the bath tub one night. Also don't forget to remember to vote on whether we should call him Jantz or Ryker...I like both but there also so happens to be another Jance...crazy! in Childress TX! makes me mad....ugh.

What bathroom stall do u always use? Me, the 1st. Why? its guaranteed to be clean...when the janitors or whomever cleans the restroom, its the closest...what do u think?

Well, our volleyball season ended last Monday. We were defeated by Highland Park. Got to play them in the "Box" at WTAMU campus...love that gym...I think they make gyms to big now a days..I like gyms where the fans are close and u can actually here them yelling...not just sitting up there for pleasure. But you all know that I hate being cold...I found another place to make me a home in when I get old and that is the 'Box', that restroom was sooo WARM!! perfect....; )

Back to our volleyball game, I am big on superstitions. Wearing the same clothes, win in a gym, play there again, lose in a gym, don't play there next year. Here is a couple that I think also hurt us...Cheerleaders...love'm...but haven't cheered all year at a volleyball game...why now! Radio guy broadcasting the game...hasn't done it all year...why now! those are just a few. What are your thoughts?

TGIF 10/24TH

TGIF!!! I hate cleaning house, not really but when I get in the mood to clean house I tend to want to rearrange furniture...I started at 7 last night and picked up and put away toys and junk & got to vacuum. No dusting really got done or kids laundry put away. I really clean when I know I am having guests over. Well, tonight I am having a some of JV VB girls come over since the football game is all the way to Muleshoe...sorry I am not going... not a good coach's wife I guess but traveling w/two kids under five...no way!!! plus it will be cold and I hate the cold!!! So tonight at my part we are going to play the Wii, bake cookies, & have pizza. But whole point is for me to give these girls something to do rather than just sit at home or be somewhere I don't want them to be...it will have fun!!! Still have cleaning to do, imagine that...bathroom, laundry put away or hide it in the closets ; ), clean windows, & erase the wonderful art work on my walls from sidewalk chalk.

I started this blog this morning and its now after lunch. Sorry my A.D.D. kicked in..I hope everyone has a great friday and I tomorrow is an eventful day in Childress...pumpkin carving contest, cousin's are design word art....and Botos and I have a date!!! Oct. 25th is a special day two special things happened on this day...1st I was baptized on this day by Trey & Second this is the day the Botos and I had our first date, twelve years ago!!! Five of those years were have been married...
I will update u on our date on next time...

Until next time...Mamabotos

Oct. 23rd, Thursday

Here is a picture of Botos & and I and Lori (sister) dressed up for the Halloween Party we attended last weekend.. Wilma & Fred!!! Lori went as a nun...we had a great time!!

Good day!! I got to finally see my kids...what I mean by that is I left to go to work Tuesday morning, had a volleyball game that night, of course when I got home they were asleep, got up Wednesday morning, got up and went to work and saw them at lunch...I miss my kiddos...life a coach/teacher...always going going going going...

Well, listening to K96, I heard one of my favorite songs, "The Rose"...its such a pretty song and one I think I can sing when I am alone in my car..but K96 no longer just plays country...they play it all...from today to the oldie goldies...

I love pictures...pictures can tell a lot or say nothing at all....I got out of the habit of taking pictures, but now I carry my camera everywhere...cause u just never know when you will need it....

Okay...my mind is blank and I am trying to look up prices to add a climbing wall(s) to the gym here at Elementary and order DDR Pads (DANCE DANCE REVOULTION) Its really neat. So, peace, stay warm cause you know I am!!!

Until next time...MamaBotos

Oct. 20th

Good Morning! I am getting bad about not updating daily...but I don't have time to sit down a fart lately, take that back...yesterday I did, just ask my husband...: ) Last week was Homecoming week...great week...I always love Homecoming...the parade was awesome...the lighting of CHS was great except for the firecrackers..I did see a little boy get hit in the face with one...I assumed it had to come from the CHS...but he was alright....The kids have got to get better about throwing candy though...either get more or conserve them toward the end...I don't think they realized how many people were their!

Saturday night, my husband and I went to a Halloween Party...it was great!!! We went as Fred & Wilma...of course we froze our booty's off but we knew how to build a fire..hahahha. It was nice to get a way and hang out with friends & mingle. There were some other great costumes...

Sunday, made it to church...late but made it and Trey says it better to be late than not to come. After church, we headed to Estelline for my Granny's 75th birthday party. We had a big lunch, got to visit..beautiful day...the kids were able to stay outside and play. All around great day!!! My uncle Charlie cooked up some awesome meat & beans...maybe that was the reason for me being able to fart : )!!!

Kids are getting big...Nate Bundy was talking about that during his sermon yesterday and then I looked over at mine and they really have. Cora & Jantz are playing together, starting to scheme up things, still fight, wanting to do more & go more places. Love'em!!!

Until tomorrow or next week...Mamabotos

A Week Later...

Well, I am sitting in a blog class...during our teacher workshop at CISD. Been a crazy day...started off warm and now its freezing & raining & COLD!!! Haven't learned much today...refreshed my mind a little bit. But a good thing is I have gotten to see my hubby throughout the day...I don't know if he is excited..but I love you babe!!!

Volleyball team won a big game friday night...beat Dimmitt!!! Yea....it was awesome to beat them at their place...urrggghhhh.... Football team won huge 55-14...Way to go Bobcats!!!

I know I know more to write about last week bu last night was a pretty special night. Two reasons: 1) Cora Lee decided she wanted to go spend the night with Nanna (mother-in-law). So she called and asked and of course she said yes. So...got her dressed, packed her little back pack, put on her jacket, and a flashlight. She wanted to walk over to her house. I got my hug & kiss and I watched her daddy lead her to the street and she walked across toward Nanna house.
It was cute, it was dark, she had asked Jantz if she could borrow his flashlight. He didn't want too but we let her anyway cause daddy took hers away and couldn't remember where he put it. But it was soo sooo cute to see her walking and that light from the flashlight shinning everywhere...she is getting so big!!!

Reason #2) Jantzer...little man. He was like the only child. He was so lost just looking around trying find something or someone to hit or pester. Poor Tamber (dog) who is on her last leg, was getting a few cheap shots from Jantz. So...I found a monster truck game online and so he and I sat on the couch racing monster trucks....only made it to level two. Horrible driver but little man liked to see & hear the truck crashes!!! Then he got tired and wanted to go to bed. So Botos, Jantz and I went to bed. But here is the highlite...As were laying there, Jantz put his arms around behind our heads and said :I love ya super way bunch!" It was so awesome...we all had a great night.

Until tomorrow...Mamabotos

Monday, Oct. 6th

What a day...Had a great day at work...kids were wild, I guess due to the weather change. Can't believe its October yet but I am loving the cooler weather. I did decorate but due to the windy weather we had the other day/night it blew them all down. So right now they are in a pile up against the house.

After school I got to coach the Junior High 7th & 8th grade volleyball 'B' teams. Had a great time, plus it gives me a chance to know the girls. As you may know we are one JH coach short this year. Coach Hardin got diagnosed w/leukemia and is out till Christmas. He is our 8th grade coach. So Amy Inman is having to do all practices and games. But not all games...all the 'B' team games we are coaching, us other coaches on the staff. The results of my game were 1-1, lost one, won one.

After the games I got to go to Booster club basically to have supper...I pretty much don't cook, Botos can vouch for that, but on Monday's is Booster club...Tuesday & Friday/Saturday vb/fb games; Wed...if church is cooking that week, & thursday well oh...if Botos has a football game then its concession stand. I know I am terrible. During booster club my husband stayed for the film while I took the kids to 'open' gym to play basketball... I think Jantz might be a lefty they we he dribbles and Cora and I were working on her defensive slides...& her dribbling, ball handling, shooting...etc....; )

We finally made it home and so everyone got showers & baths. I love watching the kids learn to wash themselves...their little hands. Speaking of hands, I received an email the other day talking about 'HANDS'...what would we do without our hands...they (hands) write for us, scratch and itch, brush our hair & teeth, put on our clothes, type, tie shoe laces, feed us. Even our hands hurt w/a minor paper cut...I am thankful for my hands. The next time your having a bad day...just like at your hands and thankful...your day can't be as bad as someone not having any hands....Also hands tell us a story of our lives, I know my look like and old lady hands already due to the sun...; )

Well, the day finally ended, Cora snuggled up to her daddy & I had Jantzer..we were all out in a matter of 15 minutes of getting in bed...yes the kids still sleep w/us...that is the reason why we still only have two kids still!!! Have a great day...

Until tomorrow....MamaBotos

Shelling Peas

Well, I just got back from my grandparents in Estelline. Had a wonderful time...2 reasons we went: 1-visit my grandparents & 2- Botos can go target shooting w/his new gun. Sorry about the short blog about him but I didn't want to publish it so i thought by closing it out it wouldn't...but it did.

Did many things tonight at my grandparents, visit, listen to stories, watched kids catch caterpillars, & shelling peas. Now shelling peas is a great thing that many people don't do very often. My mom had brought out a grocery sack full of black eyed peas needing to be shelled. She started off doing it by her-self, next thing you know, I am shelling, my grandparents, little cousins are learning how to shell peas....ages ranging from the age of 2 to 83 sitting around outside shelling peas and talking. Which leads to my next topic is talking...the topics that we were talked about while shelling peas...I love to listen and around my family when we all get together you can't much in as it is. So I just sit and listen. Stories from grandparents are the best...its amazing the knowledge they can pass down. The topics talked about tonight were: cousin Carey and her pregnancy, getting rid of flies (what works & what doesn't); Obama becoming President (how long he will last); how to shell a pea; which peas to keep & which ones to throw away; lotion for dry skin; killing rattlesnakes (who had killed the biggest & the baddest); kids dropping their pants to crap; places they crap at (my son did this morning in the tub, him alone!); eyeglass frames; church; food; & of course mosquitoes.

One thing we all hear or sayings or myths...like for example: a hot summer means a cold-hard winter or went tarantulas are crossing the roads or animals hover in a corner on a field it means its going to rain. One I heard tonight was: for every foggy morning in September means a day of snow on the ground in December. Interesting one... I hate the cold, I hate being cold and right now I have on long pants, socks on, and wrapped up in a blanket typing this blog. **I can't wait to be in a nursing home...its always warm, they can feed me, & wipe my butt cause I probably won't be able too...: )!

Well my evening is winding down and I need to edit my post about my husband and we are sitting down watching the outdoors channel, which I will explain under my husbands post....

About my kiddos...Cora is learning how do cheers, BOBCATS is the BEST! (she says); Jantz is getting tall...learning to speak & talk a little more clearly. Tonight he was looking out the truck window looking for stars and he drank his first chocolate milkshakes...he drank all of his daddy's.

until tomorrow... Mama Botos

MY MAN...BOTOS!

I know that you most of you know my husband, but I do call him Botos, he does have a real name... Jason. He is my best friend, awesome coach, loving daddy & great guy.
Things he enjoys: fishing, coaching baseball, playing baseball (he did in college); doing man jobs. Now some of those man jobs consist of many things but some he has learned this summer were welding; he put up a metal fence in our backyard and a small lean to shed (mini-mini port to cover all the toys & bikes). He did a great job. He actually tore down our patio today so he can start on our new patio, which is going to be metal...much rather pay someone to get it done, cause time is very limited for him by the time he gets home from work.

BUT just recently (in the last two weeks); he has purchased a new rifle to start hunting. He is so excited about hunting, all into it too... he has been target shooting twice, found land to go hunting on..wanting a 4 wheeler or a mule to drive; deer stand, you name he wants it... so any birthday gifts & Christmas gifts getting him hunting equipment.

Now Botos and I met my first year at college, I played basketball & he played baseball at Wayland Baptist University. Our first official date was on Oct. 25th, 1996...kinda a odd date cause I was baptized on Oct 5th. We dated for 7 1/2 years before we got married on June 21, 2003. So on the 21st of every month we try to beat each other by saying "Happy Another Month" & on the 25th of every month. Silly I know but being athletes we compete by who says it to who first. This past summer we celebrated 5 years of marriage.

We celebrate each anniversary by visiting a baseball park/stadium. We watch a team play and whomever they play we watch them the next summer. So far it has gone in the following order...Astrodome; KC Royals; Red Sox; Yankees. We failed to make it to one our 5th due to a storm this past summer. So next summer we will hopefully catch two next summer.

We have a really good time together; either us two alone or w/the kids. The name BOTOS is a unique name; pronounced bodus...I am glad to be a Botos....I love you babe and very thankful for all you do; I know I probably don't tell you all the time or show it but I love you with all of my heart. Very proud to be your wife, the mother of your children and your best friend.

I LOVE YOU SUPER WAY BUNCH!!!!

Until tomorrow...Mama Botos

FAJITA FRIDAY

I chose the title b/c that is what I am cooking 2nite!!! along w/ tacos...so we are having a Fiesta at the Botos'....

You know I always have things to type in the middle of the night between 1-2:30. Why...I don't know...cause I get woken up by a kid kicking me, they are wet & need to be changed, or I have to pee. Don't ya hate that...sleeping good & you roll over and feel that sensation of a full bladder...say you say to yourself one of two things: 1-oh...i can hold it for 3 more hours and I just won't roll over OR 2- you get up & go pee and hurry back in the bed so you don't get fully awake!!!

Friday and there is NO FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT!! What am I to do....probably laundry, vacuum, pick up after kids, anything but relax. Something I would like to try tonight is to watch a movie outside off of the projector screen. BUT those little bugs called Mosquitoes are soo bad you don't want to sit outside or use can just smell like OFF!!! That would be a good investment is OFF & Hearing Aids...lord knows I am going to need those a hearing aids. Speaking of ears, my ear infection is better, but I still can't hear out of it and itches like crazy!!!! Scratching like a dog scratching a flea....

Back to mosquitoes...while sleeping the other night...one of those little blood suckers bit me while sleeping on my THUMB!!! Another reason while I couldn't sleep, too busy scratching my thumb. I sure am talking about scratching a lot. Sorry no more scratching....

I would like to shout out to Amanda Kirkpatrick...today is HER birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLFRIEND!!! She is 29 ; )

Okay so far this blog has taken me about an hour to type. Dodgeball Friday in P.E. I am having to stop and catch people cheating by not going out when they get hit...darn kids...I guess we were all like that and some are still that way....!!!

Until sometime...Mama Botos

Wacky Wednesday...

Hello...I know it has been over a week & half and a lot has happened. I will not go into detail but just briefly share with you what all has happened.

Needless to say this is my first day at work this week, not by choice. I was sick Monday w/a head cold & a major earache...I know some are saying an earache!! BUT believe me.. if you have ever had one, which I hadn't in a long time, they hurt!!! Not a pleasant stay at home w/two screaming kids...: ) they were good for me though.

Also on Monday, my mother-in=law went to visit her heart doctor in Amarillo. She signed up for a new study group to have a device put in her pulmonary (?) artery...its to help the flow oxygen to her heart. She had sugery yesterday (tues). She is still in recovery and my husband is up there with her and should come home today. A successful surgery!!

As we all know today is the first day of October, my husband would not let me decorate until today, but I did last night. So the kids and I put out a little graveyard, hung up some ghosts in the trees, and had some pumpkins out. The place to shop, I think, is the Dollar Store. Yep... they are cheap and you can get a whole months worth of decorations for a buck! Funny Story....yesterday Jantz & I went grocery shopping, we noticed a few Halloween decorations. So I picked up a cat, didn't bother him....UNTIL...I picked up the spider...he screamed bloody murder...course he couldn't go anywhere being buckled in the front seat of the cart...every head turned to see what I had done to that poor child....but he got a little better. ahahahahaha.

Last Friday, I had a wonderful surprise...my brother Josh came through town and I was able to have lunch w/him & his wife Christina, and Luke!!! I was very happy to hold him and visit. He is getting so big...you can tell he is at that age where he wants to play and run around and get into anything...He is so handsome.

I know a lot more has happened and it will all come back to me through out the day some you may have more than one updated email from me. If you wish not to received these emails just let me know I will take you off the list.

unitl sometime...Mamabotos

Slacking...

Well, I have been slacking this week on my blog but I can't decide if I truly put down what I am actually thinking or what has happened to me. I am doing this blog as a journal or I am the one writing in it so I guess it doesn't matter, what do you think?

Tuesday we had a volleyball game, JV lost but Varsity won. The coach didn't start certain kids because they were late...she proved a point. Now that brings me to my point... I guess I don't jive with v-ball coaches that don't have kids. I don't know...I don't feel as I do anything any different or slack in any way...but it makes me mad...to the point of being pissed. But I don't do anything, I keep shut or can't think of anything until afterwards...sometimes I wish I had some balls like my husband or Amanda or Bowman...you can all speak your mind and get your point across very well.

Wednesday was the news of "slacking" but the day ended great...my husband (football coach) beat me home from practice ??? I drove up and my family were sitting outside and the kids were playing, riding toys a nd pushing Tonka trucks and playing bumber cars. I love outdoors and the front porch... the weather has been great but those dang mosquitoes...eat me alive & my kids. Well I put in lasagna in the oven and did my cooking for the evening along with a salad & pizza from 2 nights ago...so it was Italian Night.

View's from the "FRONT PORCH" ....this what I see from y front porch...my kids laughing & playing. Cora speeding away on her pink bike and directing traffic & giving orders. Jantz is all boy...hunkering down w/a mean face ready to tackle anyone or anything in his way or it doesn't matter whats in his way, he will go out of his way to hit it or run over it. Jantz learned how to pedal the bike or hot wheels tricycle...he was excited & we were excited for him....a simple "way to go" and his smile went from ear to ear. Love those moments...

Other views from the front porch...seeing people drive by, waving, & smiling watching the kids be kids. I think that is awesome...some people aren't around small children or have grandchildren that they don't see everyday, so when they ours running around I'm sure it puts a happy thought in their minds to looking forward to seeing their grandkids. Also, some of those people will stop in the middle of the road to visit or just to say 'hello'. Many conversations happen on the front porch. With the weather being cooler, I challenge you to sit on the front porch, browse the internet, fixing up the yard, or playing catch w/kids. Some will say that is what a backyard is for but no one ever knows if your out or not due to a fence to the backyard facing an alley that no one goes down. Backyards are for more privacy, but every now & then just sit on the front porch or go drive around and look at some awesome front porches that don't ever get used. I wish my was bigger but I'm sure someday it will. Patience & money!! right babe...?

Thursday, pretty relaxing day. In P.E. we are doing an obstacle course & Coach Gaylor made up an awesome one...just to demonstrate he & I were out of breath but my "highlight" of the week goes to Coach Inman & her husband Luke...they decided to compete and go through the course, being very two great athletes...it was neck & neck. At one point in the course, you have to jump through hool-a-hoops & if you knock it over you have to do 10 push-ups...they both knocked over the same one...it was great! But Luke prevailed!!! right after he got done...he was out the door...breath hard...very hard to where you can't catch your breath....I was laughing but the kids in class enjoyed every moment of it.

Also, took the kids to the park yesterday, there were kids their that are in my P.E. classes, so of course they were calling me "Coach Botos", then I heard Cora say 'Coach Botos watch me"...the other kids started laughing but she did get my attention...it was sweet. I hung out at the park w/the kids and my sister Lori.... what an awesome sister. Love ya sister....& if you ever hear us talk in a weird tone about a snake, just ignore us...when we are quiet or in a bad mood one of us will say "There's a snake in my boot"....you reply "what's your snake name?" you just have to hear us...we both get to giggling so hard that we have to stop & laugh. Crazy girls!!!

Friday...football takes on the Fritch Eagles, can't decide to go or not...probably stay home and do laundry like I was supposed to have done last night. Who knows!!! Everyone have a great weekend and live life to the fullest!!!

LIVE...LAUGH...LOVE

Until tomorrow.... Mama Botos

Already in the middle of the week and two days have past...you know Monday's can be so long but you look up and the week is half way over.

Tuesday, we had a volleyball game and the Varsity won and the JV lost but everyone got to play except one young lady...can we please get less uniforms or a cut policy!!! Last night was a prime example...I used all of my subs and still subbed illegally...too many girls...too confusing...

My nephew, Aaron got his cast off yesterday...his little arm looks funny, oh so skinny.... & hairy! But he is so excited now. Again we should be thankful for our arms & legs cause its amazing what you CAN'T do when one goes down...I mean breaks. : )

I made it home, we had a wonderful supper (39 cents burritos!!)...but again thankful we even had food on our table to eat...then our family got baths and we settled down on the couches watching SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS...i finally looked up and everyone of us had our eyes half open...I think we could have slept right there all night long...but we managed to make it to bed. I know the guys were out and Cora Lee & I stayed up watching a little bit of the Cheetah girls Movie...pretty cute movie.

Not much happened yesterday. Very Short & Sweet... take care...

Until tomorrow...Mama Botos

The Weekender...

Hello & good morning!!! I know I missed yesterday plus the weekend and I"m sure a few of you were either bummed or excited that you didn't receive an update.

Friday night, the Bobcats won in OVERTIME against Dalhart. I am just glad either team started playing because before that the game was boring...but they made up for it in the end. Bobcats are now 2-1. They take on Sanford Fritch Eagles this Friday night. I am having doubts as to whether or not I should go. We shall see.

The weekend was busy for me. Had a volleyball tournament all day Saturday and my JV of course competed in the varsity tournament. Yes, we won a game, an exciting game against Aspermont. The effort, the hustle, & the desire to win was in my girls that game. It was a fun game to watch as well as to Coach. Yes I do get excited when I am coaching, you will see me jumping up & down standing over there moving each time the ball is being passed. That is why its hard for me to coach volleyball cause the coaches have to sit down...& if you know my I can't sit still. But after the tournament on Saturday I went home...took a shower went to my parents and ate supper and came home & went to bed.

On Sunday, the kids & I went to church and they are getting better at behaving at church. But I did still take them down to the play room. After church, my cousin Brian was there. It was really good to see him. You know its amazing how much you miss special people in your lives when you don't see them everyday. I mean around here we drive by or walk by someone and SEE them but you don't take the time to talk to them. As too...like my cousin Brian...we talked maybe 5 minutes but we were able to catch up or pick up right where we left off at. Its like we never skipped a beat. He is doing well and I am proud of him. Miss ya Brian!!! Oh...his little girls aren't so little afterall.

Monday, just another day but a long day. Not much happened today. I got my comforter in, its actually big enough to cover the entire bed!!! We don't have to have two different queen comforters anymore... I guess that is my highlight of the day....

Until tomorrow...Mama Botos.

TGIF!!! 9/12

Thank goodness its Friday! First of all, let me explain these email you might be getting. My wonderful friend, Amanda, pointed this out to me. To my understanding when I write in my blog, I thought you were looking at my blog, WRONG!!! To my understanding, you are getting just an email format...so don't think I am sending out email everyday...I am actually updating a new post on my blog. To view my blog here is the address: http://mamabotos.blogspot.com/

On the blog you can view all posts as well as pictures, music, & other news I have on their for you interest. SO.... thank you Amanda for sharing that information w/me.

My reflections of Thursday and the future Weekend....Thursday was another rainy & wet day. We had our volleyball tournament start up and my JV team participated and WOW...I am proud of them...they did not let those Varsity teams just whoop up on them...they stood their ground. I think we might have scared a few of them...its so funny to watch those coaches. They immediately think JV and so when they are up 3 points they sub their bench...little do they know my team is just warming up and we gain the lead with their subs...so what do the coaches do? Of course, they put their starters back in, by then their starters are frustrated, as well as the coach, and the game of volleyball is a mental game. I just sit back and grin at them; my team will give you a run for your money... way to go JV!

My mother-n-law, Vicky had brought my two wonderful kids up to the gym...its their home away from home. BUT thankful for good friends and other willing kids that love little kids,,, I knew the kids were being watched. I had 20 minutes in between games...so after my second game, I took the kids to the Hospitality Room and fed them supper. Fortunately, we were able to leave the gym around 8. After the games, we stopped Mammy's, (connie) and said hi to her. Luckily we stopped cause both of the kiddos got their hair trimmed up, so they don't look so shaggy...Jantz can not stand hair on him, so of course we left and went home straight to the bath. Our evening ended up w/ me and kids in bed & asleep by 10. Love my kids!!!

While we lying their in bed, the kids drinking their Chocolate Milk, Cora asked to watch "Spongebob Squarepants." So I said, Ok...we caught it right from the beginning...the song started and so did Cora...she knew every word, as well as at the end we Spongebob plays his nose as a flue...she imitated as well!!! I couldn't do anything but laugh & watch her..she cracked me up.

Highlight of the Day: Due to the weather we have been unable to go outside or should I say the kids. But yesterday I was fortunate to have ALL 60 kindergardeners in the gym. But here is my highlight...teaching them the 'Hokey Pokey' and getting paid for that!!!!! I love those kids and my job...

Friday night football is going to be a wet one but any true Bobcat Fan will still go to the game and sacrifice themselves to go and watch those Bobcats whoop up on the Dalhart Wolves!!! It should be a fun game to watch & I am sure it will be a fun one to play in... Be Safe!!!

This weekend, Saturday we will finish up our Volleyball tournament & Cora Lee has two Birthday parties to attend to. Other than that...have a safe & funfilled weekend...

until tomorrow/Monday....Mama Botos!

Wet Wednesday...

Well, Wednesday was a blah blah day. There was a Safety Program going on in the gym for the last two days so we had each grade in the music room. But today...we are in the gym...those kids have been so good I think we will play dodge ball for the next two days!!!

You might have noticed my title, due to the rain! It has been raining every day this week and today (thursday) it is pouring and has been all night long & heavy thunderstorms all day...its a turd floater out there...

Every Wednesday we have family lunch, i might have mentioned this already but u are going to hear it again. We have a family lunch with Botos at the fieldhouse after Cora's pre-school at Mrs. Carroll's. She has been one busy chick...school every morning and gymnastics one night of those three. She and I went to church last night. She loves bible school...they are already learning the books of the old testament...pretty big names for those little ones but she is getting the first five down. Little man hung out with botos...man time... Botos is traveling to Dalhart (3 1/2 hour) today for a football game...Lord be with them on the road with the weather.

Not only was it a wet wednesday but a wild one at the house...Jantz is an early bird like his daddy, so he gets up and gets his chocolate milk and a new pull-up and sets on the couch watching cartoons...as for miss thing...she doesn't want to get up until she is ready, a lot like me...but she will if she can put on make-up...so she puts on a little bit of powder and loves chapstick...loves it. But we couldn't find her other tennis shoe so she gets a pair of white sandals...sorry honey that won't work with it raining...but she was determined to wear them...but I did win...I prevailed...she put on her tennis shoes...then we couldn't find a brush or comb AFTER...my mother just gave us 4 combs and 2 brushes...luckily i found a pick under the couch...it'll do. THEN little man thought I was going to put his shoes on Cora...but get this...I turned to him and asked where his shoes were...his response...he points over by the door and say,"over there." He knew but didn't bother getting up to get them on. Just like a man...hahaha. but we all made it to school and work on time.

I gave you the events of wednesday and morning of thursday....hope everyone has a terrific thursday...stay dry

until tomorrow...Mama Botos!

Things you hear & think about at night?

I know this is random but do you ever have those moments where its silent and you think about the most random things!!! Well, it happened to me in the middle of the night...for example:

Cora had woken up cause she was wet so I changed her and went back to bed...wrong I lied there in bed unable to go back to sleep. So while I was lying there I thought about the things I could hear...here are just a few of them:
* crickets
* rain
* cats playing
* kids screaming at each other in their sleep
* husband snoring

I'm sure you all have heard things or just listening to things that kept you awake in the middle of the night... please share. Have a good rest of the day!!!

Until tomorrow ... Mama Botos!

Tuesday, Sept.9th

Tuesday was an awesome day! It started off with Cora Lee starting pre-school at Sonshine School. At first I was sad that I wasn't going to be able to take her but then the phone rang and it was Ms. Angie her teacher...she had said that originally in her letters to parents she did not want 'early birds' but due to the fact that I do leave early to go to work that 'today' she would accept one special 'early bird' so that I could take Cora Lee this morning. It made my day...I think I was more excited than Cora : ). But the day continued on and it was a great day...

At work, they had a safety program in the gym SO... we had all the kids in the music room w/Mrs. Wellborn. It was crowded but we managed. Also, Mrs. Wellborn was able to work with all 4th graders on their programs songs....OH MY GOSH!!! Can she sing.... she is an awesome music teacher.... she had those kids singing on the right notes...chorus lines...i was at AHHH.... I am looking forward to the program on Oct. 21st.

We had a volleyball game today as well at Ft. Elliott & with Pampa (4A). We lost to both teams but got beat worse by the 1A school than the 4A school...you just never know how the girls are going to play and you can't play for them. Girls, Girls, girls.....but on the way home we did stop and eat at Maxi's in Wheeler...awesome burgers and worth the stop.

My day ended with Cora Lee waiting up for me to tell me about her day. Boy was it a busy day. She learned the letter "A" and painted the letter at school, play-dough making the letter, and she a book catalog for a book fair. Remember those...they all had the neat stuff to choose from from books, coloring books & many other things. Anyways... she had a wonderful day at school. Then...she had gymnastics, known to her as "nastynics". haha...

So we ended our day, a wonderful day and looking forward to tomorrow. Wednesday's we have a family lunch w/Botos at the fieldhouse to hear about Cora's day at her other school. Don't think I haven't forgotten about little man...here is a funny story for you...he was so excited about sister going to school that we had gotten him a backpack as well. BUT in his back pack it was filled with car that made noise and firetruck...the backpack was too big for him and w/the weight of those two cars it pretty much knocked him over, which he couldn't catch himself cause he had his hands on the straps to keep the backpack on...: ) so if you could just imagine what it looked like...funny boy.

Until tomorrow...mama botos.

Monday, Sept. 8th

Monday, Monday, Monday...busy as usual. Today was a very hectic or it seemed like it. The weather was cloudy and cool...it rained off & on but no complaints here. Daily schedule was the same no changes... work (school), bball practice during the period. About basketball, we have a new coach this year and he is good. I like what he has done and the girls are catching on and things will be great this year. Of course I love basketball... and so does my little man, Jantz. I think he will be a lefty...kinda makes Botos sad but I bet he will love baseball just as much if not more. Which with him being Head Baseball, I can't wait to see Jantz out on the field following his daddy around. Sorry I got off track, back to my schedule...of course then we had vball practice. After practice the kids and I went to get food for Bobcat Booster club and there we got visit and with other coaches families & friends.

Our evening ended up with bathes & watching Monday night football. Cora Lee starts Sonshine Pre-school tomorrow (8-10)...she is so excited about going to school. She is getting so big so fast!!! I will have a picture of her on tomorrow's post.

Ugh...gotta start working out again & tan..looking & feeling bad. But when do I have time!!!

Until tomorrow...mama botos!

The Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. Friday night the Bobcats won their first football game at home against Iowa Park...Way to go Bobcats!!! I was accompanied by my sister and no kids, the kids were with my parents & brother Josh in Amarillo watching "WINNIE THE POOH". Had a great time... I had to coach a volleyball game on Saturday against Levelland, the girls played very well but fell short in 5 games. After the game on Saturday, we went to Estelline to visit Family and also went a Fish Fry. The best Fish Fry I have ever been too... the kids were able to run around , play with cousins and many other kids as well.

Sunday: we slept in & didn't make it to church...forgive us lord! But Botos was able to finish his lean too shed (he has learned to weld!!!) I, on the other hand picked up around the back yard, trash, toys, & more toys... the kids love to play outside...the weather was perfect. Overall the weekend was well spent....

Until tomorrow.... mama botos!!

September 4th Memories

Thursday is a great day, one day closer to Friday which means the weekend is coming!!! Today was a good day despite that I am catching the first of the school year cold... Had a great day of work, love working the little ones in P.E. Today we played two new games...Indy 500 & Fox and the Hound. They did a lot of running, so I many complaints of sore throats...; ). Botos had is first football game today at Iowa Park and won 22-0. However we did have player off of the JV team get hurt and was sent to the emergency room w/swelling of the brain and a blood clot...they did surgery last night and were able to stop the swelling and remove the blood clot. His name is Justin Gannaway, he is still in ICU and will have more test run this morning. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

After my day at work, I went and got the kids and bought them some new tennis shoes...what a trip...I think we had or Jantz had the store torn down about 2 minutes. That poor salesman...pray for him too would ya? Here is the thing I don't understand about the cost of kids shoes....either you pay over $20 for a good pair of shoes or pay under $10 for a pair that will be torn up in about two weeks....here is the deal one of the two things will happen....1. the shoes get torn up or 2. they out grow them!!! So you can't win either way...

So after we bought shoes of course we had to have socks so we went to Wally World and of course you can't go into to the store for just one thing...so they got some more tops and pants along with their socks. So they are set!!! Of course until they out grow them... we made it home and as we pulled up I heard kids and saw a lot of cars across the street at Mrs. Angies....OH NO...I had forgot to go to meet the kids that will be in her class...so of course we were able to run across the street and still make the meeting.

Our day was winding down while the kids played and while I was putting clothes & laundry and sorting clothes that are too LITTLE... of course he got closer to bath time so I let the kids play in the bath tub and bathe themselves while I finish doing laundry. After that I was able to finally sit down, while I was sitting there I was watching my two kids wrestle w/each other...they would giggle so hard that they couldn't even wrap their arms around each other to tackle. I guess that is when we need to just slow down and take those precious little moments in. They finally got thirsty, so they had one glass of CHOCOLATE MILK...and they settled down on the couch and recliner with each a blanket and pillow...watching Spongebob Squarepants. I looked up and both were out....What a great day!!!

Until tomorrow...

love, Casey

Cora Lee turns 3!

WOW!!! Can't believe she is 3! What a day for this little princess...everything had to be PINK.... but then again it was her day. We had a small party with just family and friends. Would like to thank those that attended...also had my freshman girls basketball team show up and Cora went nuts...of course she knew all of them by names.

Some of her items she received were: Cinderella dress up clothes, barbie dolls, baby dolls, candy, and the main event....drum roll please.....PINK CINDERELLA BIKE!!! The crowd go wild!!! She was so happy, she was at awe!!!! Needless to say to did not get off that bike until it was bath time...she even sat on it in the tahoe while were taking it from the park to home!!! Crazy girl... great day for a great little girl.... Happy Birthday Cora Lee.... love your mommy & daddy.

Jimmy Buffett concert

Well, for Botos' birthday I surprised him with to tickets to see Jimmy Buffett live in Frisco, TX. We had a great time, just chilling the parking lot, meeting and seeing all walks of life. Perfect weather for a perfect day. Those that know Botos, yes...he had to go to the restrom every 15 minutes and it wasn't a close walk...every trip he had to hike up to the top of the stadium!!! Needless to say his legs were sore the next morning. : ) I on the other hand was just dancing and singing away,by myself or whomever was around me. After the concert we got to meet with a friend who we have not seen since we have left San Antonio....D!!! It was great to see him as well as his girlfriend, Kat. We had a great time visiting with them....
