Life at the Firework Stand.

A year of just sitting around. Love the smell of dirt!

Unload the fireworks and set up. Botos had to unload all of these boxes off of the truck by HIMSELF! What a man!

Days of sitting in the sun, our first pet... H-T!
H-T in his new Home. I don't think he likes it. That calls for bodyguards.
Meet Rex & Farrett.

THE ESCAPE.
U want to leave?! I don't think so Mr. H-T.

F-Man trying to calm things down.

F-Man just about lost his life. Ahhhh... Mr. H to the T is wanting F-Man to get his arm out of his face!
What's all this ruckus? Settle down, Settle down. (New neighbor, Madea.)
As you can see all these Animals ended up to be one of our favorite snacks. ANIMAL CRACKERS! LOL

So I end up w/a Blackeye! Where are my bodyguards?

Here we are Momma!

Until next time... Mamabotos.

Hard wood Floors, whew.

PROJECTS! The first week of summer for me consisted of removing carpet and refinishing hardwood floors. Since the storm a year ago, we had to pull carpet up in Cora’s room and noticed hardwood floors. Luckily it runs through out the entire house! So Botos and I were tired of staring at each other, so we jumped up and started pulling carpet. To our surprise the floor was in excellent condition. So I started pulling staples, staples, staples & more staples. He then began the sanding, started off w/the wrong kind of sander but thanks to Polo, he brought us one and the magic started working. Take a look at the pics to see the finish product.

Here we just pulled up the carpet.

Before pictures, this is what we found under our carpet.

Ohhh the carpet glue was the worst part & pulling staples.

SAND THE FLOOR! VACUUM w/great help. I do have to give the kids credit. They couldn’t walk on the floor or be in the room, they were always wanting to help, pull staples, vacuum, but if you have noticed, Miss Thing is wearing her swimsuit, yea, cause they would go outside and play in the sprinkler to cool off and come back to help. Love those kids!

VERY up close, so beautiful!

6 years of Marriage

On June 21, 2003 I said the two amazing words to an amazing man, "I DO." I can remember the day so well, like it was yesterday. We held the wedding in my parents back yard, yes on the basketball court, imagine that. We had beautiful flowers hanging and planted in awesome pots. Since we didn't have the 7ft cinder block fence that Dad has now, we used lattice. So pretty.

We got married at 10:30 in the morning, the reason for this was Botos found out that is good luck to get married on the hour going up. For instance, 10 would be going down to 10:30 but 10:30 is the up half of the hour. I just said ok, whatever and so we did it. Of course the night before we were hit w/a thunderstorm that blew every decoration down! Horrible, but we were up at 6:30 getting things ready and put back up.

One moment I will never forget was the moment he saw me for the first time in my dress. Of course we arrange to do that before the ceremony. But the best part is its caught on camera... I walk by that picture every morning and every night. He had tears in his eye and we just held each other, oh what a feeling.

The Ceremony was short and sweet. A little muggy/humid but it was perfect. Lori stepped in the only mud hole right before she walked out, so we laughed, hard. Then there was a wasp flying around my dad & I as we were standing listening to "Butterfly Kisses", which in the song were he sings, Today I will give her away, that was when my dad gave my hand to Botos.... tear jerking moment there. I cried. Then after we said I do we kissed and walked out to "I Got You Babe" by Sonny & Cher.

After the ceremony, we had a small reception and then all of his friends & family were able to come back to the house and just hang out. BUT since we didn't have our first dance in front of everyone, we were the first ones back to the house and I pushed play on the CD player, music that my brother made and the the song that came on was "Your the Most beautiful woman in the world. " It was perfect, just he and I dancing on the court w/no one else around!

I love you Babe so very much! WE have two beautiful children. Today will watch the wedding on tape and show the kids.

Oh... Babe you will NEVER get rid of me no matter how hard you try or how bad things get!!! lol. LOVE YOU SDWB!

2nd week of June and I haven't been able to leave Childress yet for a vacation. BUT... this week we, The Botos' will be heading north to Quartz Mountain.  A little R & R needed. The Kids and I have spent just about every afternoon at the pool. Cora is a greta swimmer, I don't hear much from her until its time to go and all I hear is "no I don't wanna go home, the sun is still out Momma." Jantz on the other hand is getter brave, he is jumping off of the wall and going under but comes up really fast. lol.  Botos has finished up w/summer baseball, thank goodness. You know it would be different if we had a kid playing, but we don't! BUT its a good thing for our kids to go ahead and be around it since they most likely will when they get older.

Well, not much else to say except, BYE!

Until next time... Mamabotos.

Sand the floor Botos'son!!!

Okay folks, I get home from Austin & BAM off to work I go. I do need to share some work that the kiddos did, I remind you they are 3 & 4. The day we left, Thursday, the kids got stuck at the baseball field. Not working today just watching. The city came in and took off about ohhh 200 yds of dirt to level the field.

WOW is right!

Now about the Rock Field and the Kellogg's thing, we are supposed to hear something back through email w/in the next ten days. But since our email service is being changed it be may even longer. We did end up 30th but that does not mean we automatic win. during this last voting process, 1/2 the votes come from comments & voting the other 1/2 votes come from judges.. so if a field that did ont end up in the top 30's may still have a chance to be one of the top 30. There are 100 fields during this last voting process. I hope that clears some of the confusion up for some.

So the first day, the kids sat & watched the city dig dirt... all day... til 6:30. 2nd day, out trimming tree limbs, loading tree limbs, and dumping tree limps. Not small tree limbs either! 3rd day back at the field watering the field... till Lunch, Nanna came and rescued the kids. 4th day, the day I come home... the kids are up watering the field & on their way to Lubbock to watch Creede Breeding play in the All-Star game. Botos said the kids were hot & tired... bless their hearts!

Now what is taking place at our house is we have pulled up the carpet in two rooms & a hallway. The wood is in amazingly good shape... the hard part for us is getting up the glue from the padding and the right sander. I think once we get that going we will be in good shape. I did however speak w/an expert last night on the phone... ummm made sense but we r still stuck. lol!

I will let everyone know along w/the some pics on how it all turns out. Hope you all have a great week.

Until next time...Mamabotos.

June 6th

Today, not much happened. Slept in, didn't get up to eat breakfast.  I was awaken from a phone call from Botos and the Kids screaming into the phone, "WAKE UP MOMMY! WAKE UP!" it was the sweetest voices ringing thru the phone. All I could do was smile and giggle. I got up and headed to TOYS 'R US... the kids had told me that they wanted a surprise but yet tell me exactly what their surprises were to be.  Cora wants Make-up (she says she won't eat it this time?) and Jantz wants motorcycles or monster jams. (trucks).

So I am in the store walking around wondering if I should actually get what they asked for or get them something else. Botos and I were talking the other day about getting them a wooden guitar.. they have been watching CMT and like to play and sing. Sooo I found a couple of those but WOW expensive. So I called Botos and the bottom line is he said to get what they want.. Ok. I did. found it all on the clearance aisle.

Had a relaxing day after that... had lunch at the Hula Hut... OMG... awesome food and fun atmosphere.  If you are ever in Austin, where they keep it weird, u must go and eat at the Hula Hut.

Then of course we headed back to the mall. I finally got my metal/ink thing majingy off... and walked around the mall for the next 2 hours trying on about oh... 10 swimsuits! So depressing, watch out F3 here I come!!! lol.

Well I have packed, showered, talked to my kiddos TWICE, and ready to go to bed so that we can get on the road to head HOME!!!

Until next time... Mamabotos.
