Wii

I don't know how many of you have a Wii. Well, it all started over the Thanksgiving break, we took ours over to my parents to by time while the meal was being prepared. IF you know me I was not in the kitchen... but since then my parents & my brother both have purchased the Wii!!! But the one game that we are practicing is Bowling... but we have also purchased two new games. The two new games are: Winter Olympics & Mario Olympics Track & Field. Lori came over taught us the swimming..OMG!!! i was breathing hard and my arms are so stinkin sore!!! You actually do all the swims...butterfly, breaststroke, crawl (sounds silly but its literally the crawl for my person) Gotta come check it out...

So, if you get bored over the holidays and tired of your family, come on over and play the Wii with We the Botos' or to my Parents....our doors all always open!

Have a good day...Until next time...Mamabotos

The Weekender

Well, won one and lost two games at our tournament this weekend. Pretty disappointed. The lack of effort and attitudes, sat one girl out for two quarters to finally let her play. She did well in the fourth quarter.

Also had my little girl Cora Lee ride the bus to all the three games, three days n a row. She was really good and loved sitting with the girls and listening to stories and watching movies. The best thing for me was I was squatting down on the sideline and yelled "blockout!" and heard this sweet innocent voice repeating what I just said. I looked and there was Cora Lee right beside me squatting down just like me. One hand under her chin and one on her knee...I just smiled real big! She smiled back with a giggle. Great day!

Spent the rest of the weekend with family. My dad is an awesome cook..he cooked supper for us on Sat. & Sunday. Delicious....tacos, enchiladas one night and roast, potatoes, carrots, w/beans & cornbread on Sunday!

Things I am looking forward to this week, the early releases but on Wednesday our family along w/my parents, aaron & kennedy, BB, Vicki, Josh & Christina & Baby Luke will all be experiencing the Polar Express train ride in Lubbock. It will be cold but well worth the trip. All the kids at school this week will be having x-mas parties...remember the good ol' days.

Have a great day! Until next time...Mamabotos.

Things U See while driving...

I have had the luxury of driving a bus pretty much every day this week. But I tell ya, I see the darnedest things...most of the things I see deal w/animals. I always tend catching them peeing or pooping or getting it on w/one another. BUT yesterday leaving Quitaque, I looked to my left and noticed a large animal then to my surprise there was two large wild hogs humping!!! In someone's drive way...I started laughing and of course the girls were wondering what I was laughing at and some of them saw it too!!! Other things I tend to see are cows running away from each other, donkey bucking wild OR... seeing a grown man trying to ride that wild donkey!!! He fell right off onto the other side...

This week the girls basketball teams were defeated by Seymour...played ok but the same silly mistakes. Wednesday I drove the Elementary kids to UIL at Muleshoe. (dairy farms everywhere). Speaking of those kids...Childress Elementary kicked some major butt!!! We R Wild About UIL!!! I was very impressed with our kids, their effort, the way they behaved, & competed. These kids were out to WIN... I am sure if you knew I was driving the bus or one of them you may not have let your kids go, by the way I had only two sick ones on the way up there.

Yesterday, I drove the JV girls BB to Tulia, opened up against Nazareth!!! Got our butts handed to us on a silver platter...but I took my little girl Cora with us. She was so excited to ride the bus...she crashed in the middle of the aisle right before Turkey and slept all the way. Its so nice to have her around on road trips...the girls really help out with her and enjoy her company...she keeps us young. I don't get to see my kids very much during this season...being a coaches kid is tough...it seems like lately I leave when they are asleep and come home and they are asleep... I did surprise them the other night after my trip to Muleshoe. Since I drove the Bobcat Bus and I was in the neighborhood, I drove by my house and honked the horn!!! Their faces were priceless..."mommy is here with the big bobcat bus!!" So they rode with me to put the bus up...it was the highlight of my day and I'm sure theirs. I love my kids!

I have to give my husband kuddos for being Mr. Mom here lately and its cutting into his hunting time. I appreciate your help babe and you will get a deer this season!!! I love U!

Until next time....Mamabotos

MY GRANNY

I would like to tell you all about a pretty special person in my life. That person is my Granny ( my dad's mom), Evelene Moore. A year ago to the date she was diagnosed with cancer. She went through all her treatments, chemo & radiation. Sadly though it has taken a tole on her health. In the last couple of weeks she has gone completely blind. First was her left eye and now her both. I was able to go visit her last night one on one. It was the best time I have had with my granny in a long time w/out all of the family being in the room bugging her with questions and being nosey. My sister and I were the only ones there with my grandad & uncle Kenny.

Two weeks ago today she was rushed to the hospital in Amarillo. That is when they ran a CAT scan and noticed her brain was covered with cancer. At that point the doctors just sent her home after speaking with her that there was nothing more they could do.

Right before we left I lost it, crying while I gave her hug. She squeezed me so tight and said," It will be okay." I hate that she is having to go through this and this being the dying process. Knowing she is going to die. She has accepted it and talks about her funeral, things she wants done. One special thing she mentioned last night was she would like all the great grandchildren to sing "Jesus Loves Me " then "Jesus Loves You" facing her casket then "Jesus Loves Us" . I lost it again...how sweet would that be. I am not looking forward to the day she leaves this world but then again she will not be suffering anymore. You know that is the crazy thing, they are bringing the hospital bed today for her and she said last night that "everyone is acting too soon with this hospital bed." She likes her couch just fine. She acts just fine, talks to you fine, but it bothered me that she was unable to see me while I was talking, she would turn to me but you could just see she was trying to find me. I then went and sat by my grandad and you know he is doing okay I guess, he was just staring at her. How sad, not to be able to see your partner for life anymore...but she has a great memory and I am sure that is what she is thinking of when she speaks to him or anyone.

I am thankful she is close and every chance I get I will be going to visit her. I will be taking my little ones tomorrow. Please keep My Granny and family in your prayers.

I love you Granny!

Until next time....Mamabotos.

Turkey-Wii Break

Had a great break! Just what I needed. Got caught up on my laundry and a clean house, on occasion. I am sitting here watching 1st graders practice their Christmas Program and losing train of thought. These kids are silly!

You might have noticed my title-Wii!! We took our Wii over to my parents so we could have something to do while everyone arrives and the food is getting ready. Someone in our family is pretty impressive...Aaron!! He beat us all in bowling...bowling a 190! Every time it was a strike or a spare...little fart is good. AND another good thing...he was quiet and out of the way...Santa must get him one. But playing the Wii was a great time to sit around and talk smack to each other and compete. It got everyone to play, even my parents! My brother Josh was playing Aaron and got mad and quit by handing the controller over to my cousin Matthew who was about to get just as mad due to Aaron beating them both...hahhahahaha.

Over the break I was able to enjoy my kids. I tell you they are getting so big. I found a really cool website for little kids to play, learning their ABC's, learn to Read, etc. I believe the school uses for pre0k & kinder. The name of the website is starfall.com Cora already knows how to click on all the letters , which helps them pronounce their letters speak correctly, everything...Just a really neat website...plus Cora will sit at the kitchen table for an hour playing gaems while learning. Jantz, well he wants to play to but he just wants to run his CARz over the keyboard...he is all boy.

DISCIPLINE... I found a cure...at Wal-mart they had these stockings that read "Dear Santa I have benn..." and below it reads the following.. NICE, NICE ON OCCASSION, NAUGHTY, VERY NAUGHTY, LUMMP OF COAL NAUGHTY... at the end of each saying is a pouch where u place a candy cane. Cora hates it when I tell her to go move her candy cane...but it works wonders...the best $12 dollars (for two) i have spend in a long time.

Have a great day! Until next time...Mamabotos

Terrific Tuesday

Well...how are things going for everyone? For me, good. We have started Basketball and we lost to a very good team last Saturday, wellington rockets. Our girls looked good at moments but by the next time we play them after Christmas it will be a better game. I appreciate everyone that was able to come and watch. All though I attended or worked the junior High boys games last night and both 'A' teams won by two to three points. However I did notice something different from the varsity games.....the FANS!!! Is it something that when we come to the high school that we are too cool to stand up and cheer or even be excited when are team scores a point? Its almost like we need to have a "How to be a Fan" lesson to all parents/grandparents & Students!!! We can have parents go sit at a football game, freezing their booty off and still have the energy to cheer but when it comes to a basketball/volleyball game where its inside, comfortable seats we can't do anything but sit and gripe. Oh...how we can hear the gripes. I almost liked the old gym for the fact that the bleachers were close to the stands that even if they were talking it made the gym seem loud, I don't know...just needed to vent. Thanks for listening...: )

Kiddos are being kids...Cora is all into make-up...of course had to have on her lipstick on before she went to school this morning...Jantz was sitting on the couch drinking chocolate milk watching monster trucks...

One thing I would like to say today is I would like to brag on the Junior High 7th grade 'B' team. There are two young men that play with disabilities. I was amazed on how they ran up and down the court, probably hurting really bad cause they were hurting me watching them run but they never quit or showed an ounce of weakness. Some of us just don't know how good we have it. Another awesome thing was that the other teammates on the team were doing everything in their power to help them score and when they did score...you just saw a smile so big on their little faces...all that hustling and running w/pain was paid off when they score that basket...it was an awesome night for those boys. I do have to give credit to the teammate for taking inconsideration of those two young men. That is teamwork! The team did win, big...defeated Dimmitt. If you get a chance to come and support our junior high teams, all their games will be played at the high school on Mondays. They will alternate with the girls. Go Kittens!!!

Everyone have a good day! I am getting ready to teach these kids how to play "Capture the Football". Until next time...Mamabotos!
