Lake Botos'

This weekend was a relaxing weekend UNTIL... Sunday evening... I decided to leave the house and BAM!!! We have a Botos' Lake in our backyard.... yep. See we have a water hydrant Y34 yard hydrant.
We noticed on Friday that it had a leak or a hole in the side of pole, so Botos dug around it and deep enough so it could replace it. Well, Jantz decided that he would play in the mud, so he turns on the water and of course water starts coming out of the side of the pipe... so he gets down in there and then HE decides to hang onto the handle and starts swinging while the water squirts up! While swinging it evventually becomes disconnected down at the bottome to the main line... as soon as he pops it off, he had water shooting straight up from the ground . So Cora runs to Dadday who is sitting in the living room & then comes Jantz... butt naked covered in mud telling Daddy there is a leak. OH... yeah a big leak!!! hahahaha But u see Botos didn't really know exactly what he was talking about until... get this... until he went to put him in the bath tub and turned on the water and realize there was NO WATER!!! Yep, then Botos was HOT... he needed some water poured on him... hahahaha.

So that is how we spent our Sunday evening... we did rig it long enough to have water to take baths... i think we all took baths & showers under 10 minutes. U just never know w/kids!!!!

Until next time... mamabotos!

TGIF is all I can say

Yesterday as I was leaving the house Cora had informed me that she has yet been to a track meet w/me this year. Soooo I said okay, I will come and pick you up at lunch. So I did and we talked about what bus we were riding, a yellow bus or the blue bus. I told her the blue bus. Then she asked if the stinky boys will be on there. Of course there will be stinky boys on the bus and that she couldn't sit w/any boys or Kase. She loves Kase Fairchild. She was a little upset that he wasn't going to be on there but she got over it, little disappointed that would be know Kase but Laci & Holly were going to be on there and she was fine w/that.

So we took our nap on the way there... so sweet having your little one sleep or lay on your lap; bad thing though there was the Bobcat's AC was out!!! and it was HOT on the bus... We made to the track meet; everyone did real well.  During the track meet Cora wanted to go play w/some kids on the high jumping pit. So she went, as I was sitting down & walking around I noticed they had made them get off. Where was Cora? So I am standing at the finish line and I hear: "Coach Botos Cora is needs you to meet her at the finish line." I looked up across track and saw this cute little girl w/her face pressed up against the chain link fence so I hollar "Cora Lee" and these big eyes lit up and a big smile spread across her face... she come running and jumping in my arms.... best feeling! So we went and sat by the water cooler and she filled me many cups of water that I had to drink and then we had to go to the restroom.  Of course the restroom is right next to the concession stand so after the potty break we had to get candy. So we did and then we sat next to some hurdles and finished watching the meet.  We then loaded up on the bus and she sat next to Laci and then I think Seth was Jealous; hahaha not really... then here she come crawling up in my lap and snuggled as we slept on the way home. I had a great day w/Cora lee... its always nice to have a little one around; it keeps you young and stress free... makes things not so bad after all. Love you Cora Lee!

On Saturday we will be heading to Turkey TX for the parade at 10; eat some BBQ after the Parade and then head off to Tulia for some Bobcat Baseball!!! Maybe on the way back we can stop and go to the dance and listen to some good ol' Texas Playboy Music!! we shall see....

Until next time... Mamabotos

What to say, What to write... its not like I don't have anything to say to talk about it just a matter of me sitting down and doing it... ever have that problem? Last week so hectic, maybe not, but seemed that way. Thursday we had our District Track Meet in Tulia and then the next thing I knew we were herding kids into the High School for a Tornado Warning!!! WE sat and sat and sat... until we had an opportunity to leave and so we booked it on out of there. As we were leaving town, we drove over Hail that had piled up!!! It looked like snow... here is a pic from my brother Josh's backyard...:
welp, post that pic later, our email is down this morning.

So we go back Friday and had a very successful day!

The weekend rolled around and on Saturday morning my mom & I headed on down to the Jaime's and got some plants to plant in my backyard underneath a tree, shade garden. Due to the tree we couldn't plant any flowers cause they wouldn't make... so we planted ground covering plants: peppermint, chocolate mint & orange mint!!! Ohhhh they smell sooo good!!! Maybe & hopefully it cover up the smell of dog poop!!! So ready for summer to get here so I go sit outside underneath our patio and watch kids play and I can relax... hahaha.

Next garden I will be working on is in the front yard... I ordered a magazine from Spring Hills; it has plans for you on how what to plant and where. That is what I need cause I have no idea when it comes to plants... but never too late to learn... So sorry for the mess in my front yard for those who have little ones attend Mrs. Angie's... probably couldn't see anyways from all those bikes & tricycles!!! ugh...  BUT I am thankful for sidewalks... we have one in our front yard, but I was looking around the neighborhood or around town and very very few folks have a sidewalk for their little ones to ride... so where do they ride? its sad... it was a must when we were looking for a house... i had one so I thought every house should but they always don't. Oh well...

Busy week, Cora's Star Attraction today!!! Proud of me... I didn't forget but I can't go... ; ( so sad... I did buy her a cute little sundress for her to where today.  She look so darn cute!!!  Good luck today Cora Lee!!!

Everyone have a great day! Oh... going to the doctor today about my stinkin' foot!!! Hope I have done too much damage to it but I am thinking a stress fracture... but we shall see after 2:45!!! I hate going to the doctor for petty stuff like this.. or it seems to me cause I have been an athlete and a coach now I should know how to take care of it.. but as I am getting older, things do tend to fall or hurt a little more than they use too.

Until next time... Mamabotos

Crap ol' mighty... I even had it written down on 3 calendars.... who does that... ME!!!  So its set for next tuesday... please don't let me forget...!!!!!

Dealing w/a Loss...

Today I lost my Granny, Evelene Moore (my dad's mother). She had been battling cancer (Lung Cancer) for a year and half. Then put in hospice the last 6 months.  My Granddad decided he that he would take care of her, which was so awesome. In the last year during the school year the kids and I would go eat supper w/the every Wednesday night.  But there are so many other precious memories I have of my Granny.  It is a sad day, a very sad day for us Grandkids & My dad, aunts, & uncles, even great-grandkids (Jayla, Addi, Aaron, Kennedy, Cora, Jantz plus many more.) I believe they will let Jayla out for the day of the funeral, which I am assuming it might be Wed.. But she has to be back that night. Whom is doing awesome, in rehab right now. don't be shocked if you see Amber or Justin in town, they are trading off every 3-4 days. God bless them!

I know people lose someone that is close but this is really the only 2nd death on our side of the family in 29 years. Which we have been very fortunate & all healthy. As of matter of fact my Granny's mother is still leaving at the age of 95!!! She is known as "Fat Granny", just a name but her late husband was "Babe". Who knows...

Granny... I love you so very much and I already miss you. But I know it must have been your time. With you knowing that you were alone and knowing that everyone was okay... Can't just say Grandad's house, it will always be Granny & Granddad's.  I know we will meet again someday in heaven. I cry tears of sorrow and joy right now.  I love you Granny!!!

Until next time... mamabotos.

Howdy everyone! I am home today w/my kiddos... lovin' it! BUT I have to clean this house or at least straighten it up, ya know? No one is sick, just that our babysitter/mother-n-law is having to go to Amarillo for a check up on her heart and liver. She has done so well the last month, looks good (lost weight) and feels good. So thankful to have her.

So right now Jantz and I are watching 'Diego'... eating donuts & drinking chocolate milk. I got up, got the kids dressed... u always have one that doesn't want to get dressed... ummm Cora... so then we went to pick up Aaron and Kennedy. First we dropped off Cora at Mrs. Angie's... I don't think she knows what to think of Cora Lee... hahaha I have a feeling that Cora likes to take charge as well... ; )  then we dropped Aaron off at the Big school (according to the little ones).... next was Kennedy to Kids Korner.  So Amanda... I do need a bus!!! ; )

Yesterday there were 6 of us coaches that had to attend our District Track meeting in Tulia...wasn't bad, short & sweet and off to eat we go. Sooo good... we ate at 'El Sarape'. Reasonable and GOOD... yes it is better than the El Camino!!! On the way back I get to listen to Coach Rhodes.... man he can tell some stories!!! Had us all rollin. hahaha I'm not sure what Coach Chisum thought of the trip. It was good up until we had to turn down Ave. I... of course Coach Wellborn is driving... and I made the mistake of telling him I had to PEE!!  Suddenly he stops in the middle of the road.. we are looking at each other like what the heck is he doing? He speaks up and says sorry Casey and turns like your going to the baseball field, we all know that is the roughest road in Childress County!!! You got it, went about 90 down that road all the way to the field house... of course coach K is laughing her butt off, Hard & Chisum hanging on the ol'poop handles and rhodes head is bouncing like a bobble head and I am trying to lift my butt off of the seat so I don't wet myself!!!  Then we hit the bigget bump, mini-sand dune there where all the boys park and urrrrr we STOP!! Here I was about to wet myself at the same time laughing my butt off!!! hahahaha All I have to say is Wellborn,,,, BEWARE... pay back will getcha son...when u at least expect it...

Until next time... Mommabotos

Boy...

I just seem like I have been going & going & going... over spring break I got my house organized, cleaned my house, got caught on my laundry... felt good, house was looking good BUT dang it... our house is a disaster!! Seriously... clothes everywhere, things everywhere, togys, you name it. Sometimes I wish I had a 9-5 job where I could just come home, straighten up the house or even stay at home mom just make my house be clean or look presentable. Second thought is though, is it about how your house looks to where people judge you? I don't make excuses, maybe I am just lazy... AND... maybe I am not a good house cleaner or keeper. Now that is off my chest let me tell you about my day(s)...

Monday.. I had lunch w/my mom... that has become ritual, its her day off and so we have tuna salad sandwiches. No kids or the TV isn't on, it really nice cause we can just talk...which we don't get to do to much. Thanks Mom for starting my week off.

Tuesday... we had 'MOMMY DATE' since Botos was out of town for baseball and apparently I didn't want to clean house...hahaha... I decided to take the kids to the Ritz theatre to watch "monster vs. aliens'. At first it was kind of scary and my kids were scared but I made them sit through it anyways. So on our way over they happened to find a bag of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds shelled already and  a small drink. By the time we got there, the seeds were all over the seats, their cups  that  were empty by down, were torn (styrofoam) into pieces. So we pull up 15 minutes, so we go inside to use the restroom. I remind u went early, Jantz decided he had to poop... okay all you wives know when your husband goes to the bathroom, it is a 20 minute ordeal... well...same w/a 2 year old... twenty minutes of pooping!!! WE walked into the theatre when they were showing previews!!!! Good gracious... son! Made it through the movie and home. Incredible date!!! Thanks kids...

Wednesday rolled around, cooked a meal (green chile casserole) and made to Bible  class, sat w/my grandmother... I enjoyed it but the kids didn't. She kept giving them the look, and they straightened up. ahha I love it

Thursday, busy!!!! Go to work...the kids were wild today.. Thanks Wild Wind... it is crazy how the weather affects the kids... if you don't think so come spend a day w/me & Gaylor & coach Inman in P.E., better yet any elementary teacher!!! can I hear a 'amen'....AMEN!!
After school, dropped Aaron off at the baseball field, went to pick up Kennedy from Daycare... went home to get my two kiddso to head to the park for the Easter Egg Hunt, great job 4-h . Here a  few pics from egg hunt..

Wal-mart sacks for easter baskets...
Jantz bear huggin the girls

Pretty Girls...

After the hunt, we attended a Baseball Buddy Camp, walked through the door around 7. Long week... thank god tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

Until next time.. Mamabotos
